However, the coveted position had been stolen a week before his arrival by an intriguing witch.

May 2001 - The morning after the battle of Hogwarts Hermione didn’t wake up wrapped in Ron’s arms in his tiny bed in the highest room in the Burrow. She didn’t hear Ginny’s swearing or Fred and George’s hysterical laughter. Instead, she woke up alone, trapped in the lowest level of Malfoy Manor, with nothing but the painful memories of her best friends' gruesome murders for company.
Sometimes it takes finding a new low, loosing every reason to keep fighting, for the universe to shift and stories to be re-written...

Summary
After what appeared to be the start of a great night, Sirius Black felt duped. The damn curly-haired minx would see revenge. Marauders are anything but forgiving. She indeed duped him and confine him to his own bed, left to await rescue.
However, when he managed freedom, he entered a world he was not expecting. His best friend was dead. His wife was gone as well... and he now was the charge of their son.
Time is a fickle thing. The theories and restrictions never seem to make sense and rarely prove solid. However, as time is ever-changing, so are the minutes to hours to days... The hand always returns to the beginning.

Summary
In the rush of battle, Hermione finds the time-turner she once thought lost to her forever. Unfortunately for her, a crack in the glass coats her in sand, sending her back in time. Will she survive her stint in the past? And will she ever make it back to the present, or just get dangerously close as the Turner continues to skip her forward in time?
Fic will include Hermione going back to Marauder-era, as well as a minimum of one other time skip (forward to Charlie’s 7th year for an eventual Charmione pairing), though there likely will be more by the time I am finished. Lots of trauma.
