Welcome to Thin Line! This collection preserves works originally hosted on Thin Line. Opened in 2001, Thin Line was originally a place for Severus Snape/Sirius Black fanfiction, that later expanded to accept works pairing Severus Snape with any member of the Black family in January 2006. Thin Line was a member of the Snape Slash Fleet, an association of archives centered around Severus Snape pairings. Though the archive closed in 2011, the content was backed up and saved by the moderator until its move to the Archive of Our Own.
Thin Line is OPEN to new works that pair Severus Snape with a male member of the Black family.
The import of this archive to the AO3 was approved by the OTW Open Doors Committee on 23 December 2020, and began in April 2021. The archive import was completed in June 2022.
Severus reflects on his life at the end of the war
Severus is too obtuse to understand what's being offered to him.
Severus and Sirius finally have a chance to explore their relationship.
- Part 2 of The World Will Always Welcome Lovers
Sirius is confused about his feelings for Snape. Will he figure it out before it’s too late?
- Part 1 of The World Will Always Welcome Lovers
Severus had to disagree with Dumbledore-- there was never a good time to encounter a former lover for whom one had betrayed the Dark Lord. It was worse, still, to encounter a lover one had tried to feed to a dementor. Unfortunately, Sirius Black was both wrapped up into one wasted package. [Note: The bulk of this story retells the end of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, portions of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and the beginning of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from Severus Snape's point of view. I have not incorporated any dialogue from these novels, and any similarities in phrasing are entirely unintentional.]
- Part 3 of The Paths of Glory

Set six years after the Goblet of Fire, and almost a year after Voldemort has been defeated. How has the wizarding society changed as the aftermath of the war? How are people coping with the world around them, and with the past? Why are Sirius Black and Severus Snape sleeping in one, four poster bed?
