Kylo Ren sneaks out for a drink on Jakku* after murdering Lor San Tekka and burning Tuanul to a crisp. Rey is a scavenger by day and a bartender by night in Niima Outpost.
Notes about the AT:
1. Poe manages to escape Jakku with the Map to Skywalker (or so it seems).
2. As a result, Rey never joins up with the Resistance.
3. However, Rey ~does eventually stumble upon her own Force-sensitivity thanks to an unexpected Force-bonding session.
(*I’m making the assumption that inhabitants of Jakku don’t know what Kylo’s face actually looks like. I'll also be taking some liberties with the amount of time that passes between canonical events for the sake of world-building.)
PS: I listen to music when I write, so I'll try to include my songspiration at the forefront of each chapter.
This work is on hiatus and will update after the completion of The Premier and Her Liege.

Hell bent on returning Rey to the First Order, Kylo Ren channels the Force to switch his body with hers.
Set in the immediate aftermath of TLJ, this work will involve a series of super short (~500 word) flash-fic-style chapters, in which perspectives will alternate between our (anti-)hero and heroine. I am not a particularly funny person, and this is my first attempt at crack, so... Read at your own expense!
Assuming I can get my act together, this fic will (somewhat comically) explore how our two star-crossed enemies/friends/lovers (eventually) learn to empathize with one another. (Body swapping is a great way to do that, of course.) This will likely involve a more critical look at both the Resistance and the First Order, with the intention of challenging our preconceived notions of good and evil. (If you've read some of my other stuff, this will feel familiar. I add this as a disclaimer here because this isn't an AU, and post-canon fics that are otherwise canon-compliant can be a touch more sensitive for readers, myself included.)
Anyway, enough philosophizing! Let me try and be (a little) silly for once! And if you find the time to comment, I promise to respond. <3
