...being courted by a wolf!shifter is hard.
When Clint accepts the Game Warden/Shifter Pack Liaison position in Willow’s Run he thinks he'll be signing hunting licenses and maybe writing a few tickets. He doesn't expect to start a brawl on day one, be claimed by the definitely scary Beta!Wolf Bucky on day two and begin what might be the worlds slowest courtship.
Eventually Clint settles into his new role, strikes up a friendship with precocious scientist!Tony and a careful affair with Bucky. He navigates awkward shifter courtship rituals and misunderstandings, surprising romance and increasingly bitey kisses and for a while, all is well in the mountains.
But hunting season brings strangers to the town and when increased tension and broken rules bring up old prejudices and new fears, their quiet life turns dangerous.
Clint has his hands full with aggressive hunters, defensive pack members and a town pushed towards chaos.
Torn between the law and what his heart wants, the Game Warden knows something's gotta give--
--but will that 'something' end up driving Bucky and the pack away?
“You want me to do what?” Peter’s empty teacup dangled unregarded from his fingertips and his mouth hung open as he tried to process his friend's request, certain he must have misheard.
Earl Stilinski turned steel-grey eyes on Peter. “Yes. You owe me, Hale. And you have enough social standing that nobody would dare disparage anyone you chose to wed. So pay your debt. Marry my son, Peter.” He held Peter’s gaze, daring him to refuse.
Or, the one where Stiles must marry before his 21st birthday to inherit but has been left at the altar, Peter owes Earl Stilinski a debt of honor, and John decides that now would be a perfect time to collect.

Dr. Michael Preston has been the Head of Emergency Medicine at Rampart General Hospital, in Los Angeles, for nearly two years. However, the man now calling himself Michael Preston has a past that is about to come back and haunt him.
Because he is immortal, and was once known as Phillip J. Coulson, Agent of SHIELD, who died on the helicarrier during the Battle of New York. Who left behind an entire life, with friends and a man he loved but didn't dare tell because of that immortality. And it was all about to come down around him, all because he hadn't taken into consideration that aliens might attack Los Angeles, bringing the Avengers with them...especially Clint Barton, Hawkeye, whom he still had feelings for.
The only reason Stiles and Finstock even met was because the Sheriff needed someone to wear his kid out. Countless clubs and sports turned Stiles away, and the alcoholic gym owner with a foul mouth and crazy hair was the Sheriff’s last hope. What started as an awkward arrangement would become an incredible journey full of gymnastics, blue ribbons, and gold medals.
Family isn’t always blood, sometimes it’s finding someone at the right time. Sometimes family is a hyperactive kid who hangs around the gym and his coach who takes his coffee with whiskey.

Clint is about to move on when his eyes drift up to the lettering at the top of the window.
FREE PASSAGE TO THE WEST!
Clint knows that the circus folk mock him — call him too trusting, too soft-hearted — but even he knows nothing in this life comes free. The words puzzle him, and he reads them again carefully to make sure he hasn’t made a mistake.
His eyes are drawn to one posting at the very bottom corner, different from the others. This one is sun-faded and starting to yellow, curling at the corners. Clint crouches down, brow furrowing and lips moving as he sounds out the unfamiliar words.
Western Man Seeking a Husband — I am a kind and unassuming man of good financial means seeking a helpmate and companion. I have lost my arm in the service of our Union, but am otherwise free from disease. I am not particular as to looks, but am seeking an individual of equal youth and vivacity with whom I can share my affection and devotion. I am a man of quiet habits, moderate temperament, and kind disposition and would seek the same in my husband.
