Merlin didn’t answer. It was too hard to stop himself from saying that he’d always thought that they would. Be there. In a church, in front of a minister. Together.

In which Arthur and Merlin have a horrible break up. A year later they're best man and man of honour respectively at Lance and Gwen's wedding. And they can deal with that, they really can.

Summary
Desperate to save the dying Arthur after the battle of Camlann, Merlin creates a magical bond between the two of them. At the cost of his own strength, he manages to help Arthur stay alive for a little longer, but they urgently need a permanent cure.
