It’s just past sunset, the world cast in the unique roadside motel mix of sunset-red, streetlight-yellow, and the sickly blue glow coming off the pool. The shitty blue bug zapper is doing it’s best, buzzing loudly over the distant sounds of the highway, but the porch light above them is full of spiderwebs and moths, casting dancing shadows over them.
Sam’s eyes are caught on Dean’s fingers around his latest bottle of beer.

To level the playing field against monsters, Sam agrees to let Rowena try out a spell on him that promises to heighten human senses to something closer to a monster or animal level. The problem is, the spell just happens to have some beastly side effects.
