Oof saved the best for last! I READ THIS SO MANY TIMES! This is just??? so???? perfect???? LOVE. IT. I seriously read this story so many times.... it’s 7 chapters long and ughhhh it’s just not enough, my soul craves more. i love both the writing style and the characterization. It made me smile sometimes and other times it literally made my heart squeeze bc too many feels. Super well written story that is guaranteed to give you the feels.

1. Trust Fall (And Welcoming Arms) by SpangleBangle
Fandom: All for the Game
Summary: If you read the book but want more of Neil and Andrew on being foxes, this is an amazing fic. The voice reads similarly to the book, so it really felt like the characters. Addresses a lot of things the book didn’t get to cover. All around amazing continuation of the books.
2. Like Father, Like Son by castlesbuiltintheair
Fandom: Marvel
Summary: Peter Parker gets a new family with the Avengers, Tony is his biological father and is struggling with this role. Also, Tony doesn’t know how to tell Peter he’s his bio dad. Just enough drama to keep you interested, just enough fluff to make you want to read it again.
3. Blue Light Salvation by Sonday
Fandom: BNHA/My hero Academia
Summary: Takes place well after the series and has a much more somber tone as the characters have been through hell several times over. But is’s a great fic of Izuku and Katsuki dealing with tough issues of being heros and supporting one another.

There are so many amazing fanworks out there and I wish I could tell you about each one but sadly I can’t right now. So instead I would like to focus this post solely on one of my favorite authors of all time, Breakingthetide. My three fanworks from them are I found God I found him in a lover, Thought we built a dynasty forever couldn’t break up and You know the two of us are just young gods. They have a way of writing that makes me feel like I’m watching the show. Their writing is romantic, funny and truly creative. EXO fandom : Phoenix by unniebee.
Even after all this time, I remember this fanfiction very well. Because honestly, this is not a fanfiction at all. It's a true novel for me that can be read even by people who aren't into kpop at all. Phoenix is a compelling story with space battle, wonderful and complicated characters and an interesting plot. I completly fell in love with the main characters, especially Kyungsoo who tries his very best to understand human nature, relationships and his own place in this adventure.

EXO fandom : Murder Melody by Aria Of Snow (I think thats her pseudo)
The intensity of this story. The plot is simply amazing with a lot of plot-twist and heart-wrenching moments. Chanyeol and Baekhyun are so.... I can't even really explain. I read this story 4 times already. It has the best villain I've seen in a fanfic in a long time. I really recommend it.

BTS fandom : Paint by minverse.
My all time favourite. I can read this one over and over again. The story is about Taehyung, supposedly straight, who slowly falls for drag queen Minnie (Jimin). It's simply so funny, so sweet and educational. The author did a lot of research about LGBTQ+ community and it's simply so interesting. If you want to laugh until your cheeks hurt and love characters until your heart cannot take it anymore, then this story is for you.

Hi everyone, I'm kind of a specialist on fictional Elves. "The Plebe" is another amazing, atmospheric K/S ("Nothing is meaningless."),
"Our First Christmas" (another K/S, best line is "Spock announced, “The Christmas King requires cookies for breakfast, if you please.”)
and "Flight when None pursueth" a Levi/Eren because it's a masterpiece

Normally the flirty blonde would just present himself with open arms but there's a major problem with his infatuation. There's unspoken rules in 1-A and Kaminari is part of the Bakusquad...whereas Shinsou is a part of the Dekusquad. The two can't be together. It's just not possible. There's no way Bakugou would ever allow one of his extras to date Deku's friend.
There's only one thing left to do, give up and move on. Too bad Kaminari can't seem to escape Shinsou.
Aka the fic where Kaminari is Romeo and Shinsou is Juliet and they have to secretly date so their squads don't fall into an all out war."
I thought it seemed good from the summary at first, but didn't really it right away. When I started reading it, I fell in love with it, it's amazing. Still one of my favorite fics/my favorite fic. The writing is really what makes it so good. The metaphors and the descriptions are perfect and fantastic. I will forever recommend this to anyone who asks for any recommendations.
2. "darling, thank god it’s this universe we’re in (and you can annoy me as much as you please)", a BNHA fic (dabihawks): https://archiveofourown.org/works/16501667/chapters/38649728
summary:
"Todoroki Rei divorces Endeavor and moves all four of her children into a small apartment next to a boy with wings as red as the hair of her eldest son."
I love this. So much. The author wrote another dabihawks fic before, and that one's pretty good too (they link it in this one). This one is,, it's really good xhmxhm It's the best dabihawks fic out there, in my opinion, and I've read some pretty good ones. I Definitely would recommend this to anyone and everyone.

A series of snapshots in the future.
The writing 😍😍😍 Again, it's the writing. It's SO good. It's very detailed, and it's like I can just perfectly imagine what I'm reading. Another favorite that I'd forever recommend.

Fandom : Eyeshield 21
Pairing : Takami x Sakuraba

This is definitely a fanfic that fits the ship so well you can accept it as canon as soon as you've read it. It's short but full of emotions and just perfect.

Astigmatism by Harloprillalar
Fandom : Prince of Tennis
Pairing : Tezuka x Oishi

Sweet and casual. The words just flow so very nicely. Prillalar is really a great author, and she can write everything. Her crack in particular is exceptional but I had to point this fic (which is totally not cracky) for so many reasons.

The Attempt by Yahtzee
Fandom : X-Men: First Class
Pairing : Erik Lehnsherr x Charles Xavier

Yahtzee definitely writes my favourite X-Men fics, AU or not. This one fits canon really well. Yahtzee's writing is just so good (you can sense the professionnal author) and her characters are always IC.

If you're a fan of Roy torture, SERIOUSLY YOU NEED TO READ THIS. Wonderful writing, it's got Hughes in it(Hughes! You rock!), plus brilliant ending! Yep, it's angst and very depressing (for my standard). But hey, check it out! It's a happy ending!
The Colors of the World by MaiKusakabe:

One of the best Fma/Hp crossovers. Often these crossovers involve Ed, but voila Roy fans, it's about Roy! Yay! It's an AU for Brotherhood in which when Roy repairs his eyesight, Truth decides to give him a mission to kill a certain Tom Riddle. (This is my own summary, soooo can't say about accuracy.) Seriously it's really good and check it out. It's not finished tho, but the writer just updated so worth a shot.
And the last one is Don't Leave Me Hanging by Ranowa!

Is a funny one-shot about Ed and Roy bickering...... while hanging off a cliff. Sort of a clinche, yet humorous. A break from all the angst~

So it's my turn !
I strongly recommand you Deduction in Shadows by Gremlins SR. Never have I felt so much by reading a fanfiction. It truly is a master piece. Still from this author, I can advice you to read Personnal Leave and Bubble Therapy. These two are shorter, but still so fun and well written.
And for French readers, I have a little word : please, please, start giving attention to the French side of AO3. I know it's not as deep, as popular, but things will start to change with you, too.

HOOO okay, I have a few fanfics to recommend here!
Firstly, I offer “call me, beep me” by orphan_account. This Voltron: Legendary Defender fanfiction is truly something special, and I’ve drawn a lot of inspiration from it when creating texting-based fics. The banter between everyone involved in the fic is genuinely heartwarming and laugh-out-loud hilarious— I 110% recommend this work. The romance is fantastic too, and just?? This is a great fic to give you a warm and fuzzy feeling.
Next, I offer “Faulty Buzzer” by unholygrass! As a longtime friend, I adore her style and how she’s always been so talented at capturing raw emotion in whump writing (aka lots of hurt and comfort and doing it really well). “Faulty Buzzer” is another example of this wonderful style, as this Detroit: Become Human fic had me entirely engrossed at work (and I yelled at her for hurting my heart in the fic more than a couple of times). ((Tbh I just recommend all of Grass’ fics just go read them immediately))
And finally I offer “5 Times Peter Fell, and Tony caught him. And the 1 Time Tony didn’t.” by eva7673! Tbh I was kind of worried that I wouldn’t like this fic when I first began to read it, but my fears were shoved aside almost immediately. Eva has a wonderful grasp on hurt/comfort, and it was a real treat to finally see a good Iron-Dad and Spider-son fic (Marvel Cinematic Universe) where the two were at least mostly in-character! I’m a huge sucker for whump, so this fic really was a delight to behold.

Sooo, I've read through all of these comments and no one has mentioned one of my favourite authors of all time yet. So children, I present to you:
astolat.
in particular a recent new favourite of mine, 'Misethere', although just reading everything in her 'Astolat Sampler' series will convey everything I adore about her writing.
'Misethere' 'The Witcher' fandom, Emhyr var Emreis/Geralt of Rivia (https://archiveofourown.org/works/9168430)
I could wax endlessly poetic about how much I love this story, but suffice it to say that even if you are a heathen who has never picked up so much as a book or controller to dip your toes into the The Witcher proper (like me), this story will pull you into a whirlpool of moral ambiguity, politics and badassery. (And very hot smut.) I came out the other side very confused as to what just happened, but happy nonetheless (much like Geralt).
'Blooded Crown' and 'Cursed', two other works of astolat's, same fandom, same pairing, are the same mix of badass, sexy, and somewhat adorable as 'Misethere'.
It's really no wonder that they're all on the first page for Witcher fanfic if you sort by kudos.
also, 'Never Did Run Smooth' by astolat is amazing, if only because Geralt shows off his badassery in a very casual way, which gets both you and Emhyr looking at him with consideration, meanwhile Emhyr gets to do a bit more than just look.
having consumed all of the former (as well as astolat's Witcher series) I then went looking to see if I could find anymore gems, and was rewarded with softestpunk's 'Prickly' ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/15240309 ), which featured Geralt being even more adorable than usual, and much to my amazement, Emhyr also being adorable, which is not usual at all.
