    Summary

Bucky thought getting that damn mess out of his head would make life so much easier. Jesus Christ, how wrong can a guy get? If being the Fist of Hydra for 70 years won't get Steve Rogers out of his heart, how the hell is Bucky supposed to do it by himself?

How the hell did all those fucking historians think Steve had wound up face down in his own blood in back alley fights so often? It sure as shit wasn’t his magnanimous decision-making and patience for negotiations. He had the temperament of a lactose intolerant wolverine, okay, and he and Bucky had both paid for it.

But for the first time, Bucky had time to deal with Steve’s temper his way.

What can I possibly say about this fic? It is single-handedly the most angst-ridden work of gorgeous masterpiece that I have EVER had the privilege of reading. I burst out crying from the tortured angst - I mean, seriously, I didn't know how it was going to end up. I was broken. I couldn't put it down. BUCKY. Everything about how Bucky is characterized is single-handedly the most beautiful thing to me. It absolutely killed me to have Bucky go live with Clint and family. That was just... horrible for me, for Steve, for Tony. It was unbearable. I am still reeling and trying to come to terms with it. I definitely wanted Bucky to see Steve break down. I don't feel that closure yet... maybe it's in the next story. I'm not sure. You are an amazing emotional story teller. I can't believe this is as good as it is, and it just kept getting better. The story is amazing. Thank you for writing it, I can't even imagine. I have to go back and re-read certain scenes. They are just so damn gorgeous and awful and unbearable and wonderful. It's so many feels all at once, my chest ached throughout this.
