Kaylee knew it was rude to stare, but the little ship was just so cute.
"Is the power source renewable?" she asked the strangers' engineer. "Do you get that kind of speed all the time?" She peered inside an open access panel – oooh, were those crystals? Shiny!
He slammed the panel shut, scowling. "Yes and faster usually." He stomped up the hatch into the jumper.
River was sitting in the pilot's seat, dreamy-eyed. "Listen! She speaks." She grinned at their spiky-haired leader. "She loves you best."
"Oh god," Rodney said, and stomped out again.
Kaylee smiled. "Wanna see our grav-boot?"
