Welcome to the 2005 Multi-Fandom Lyric Wheel. This was a "ficathon"-style challenge, based both on various LiveJournal ficathons, and on the original Highlander Lyric Wheel. The idea is that each participant makes a request, and also writes a story fulfilling another participant's request. But in this case, the "requests" are song lyrics -- to write a story which evokes the feel/style/theme/mood of the given song. This is not the dreaded songfic where writers regurgitate a song while their heros sing along. No sir! We is writing proper stories.
So, sit back and enjoy.
