Christmas was upon Cardiff and of course, per the natural order, the Rift was more active. The team had their hands full and so by Christmas Eve, were hoping for a quiet night. Just for that night. If not Christmas itself.
When the Rift predictor said they were in a quiet 24 hours, Gwen left with Rhys to visit his parents. Leaving Jack and Ianto alone in the Hub for the first time...in a few months. Not that they minded. Ever since Grey's attack, none of them had wanted to be apart for too long, afraid something else would happen. All of them, however, admitted they could use a little time apart.
"Naked hide and seek?" Jack suggested, wiggling his eyebrows.
Ianto smirked and reached for his tie. He cursed in Welsh when the alarm for the Rift monitor went off. "Of course."
Jack shuffled along to the computer. "Lucky for us, it's right on the Plass."
Ianto shook his head. "Nothing resembling a blue box?"
Jack raised an eyebrow. "Ianto."
Ianto held up his hands. "Probably in London, anyway."
Jack nodded. "Probably." He perked up a bit and rubbed his hands together. "Shall we?"

Hours later and Ianto couldn't find Jack. It was very frustrating actually--he knew he was on Jack's trail and had plenty of eye witness reports. In point of fact, finding a naked Jack who was under the influence of an alien drug and choosing random pedestrians to thrust against shouldn't be difficult.
Except it was.
"And you say--" He was currently interrogating one of the witnesses.
"Like Santa it was," she nodded. "With a woosh and a twinkle he was gone."
Her friend shuddered. "Yeah, if a woosh is what you'd call it."
She patted him on the arm. "Oh, calm down. It was an innocent thrust, spreading good cheer."
Ianto raised an eyebrow. "I see. And he went?"
"Toward the Millenium Centre actually," she said, pointing. "Muttering something about hide and seek." She looked confused about that.
Ianto gulped. "Thanks. You've been a great help."
She giggled. "Oh, it's nothing. If you do catch him, send him my way, yeah?"
Ianto gave her a polite smile and jumped into the SUV. He really hoped that Jack was in the Hub.

"There you are!"
Ianto turned and sighed. "Found you, sir."
Jack nodded and stepped toward Ianto. Ianto took a step back. Jack frowned. "Ianto?"
"Before we can play," Ianto said. "How about a shower?"
Jack paused. "For two?"
Ianto licked his lips. "You first, sir."
Jack smiled. "All right then."
Ianto nodded and led Jack to the decontamination showers. Jack was frowning again. "Ianto?"
"I'll join you, sir, I promise," Ianto said. "You first, though."
Jack studied Ianto and nodded. "All right. I trust you."
As soon as Jack was in, Ianto hit the button to close the shower and lock it down. Jack spun and put his hands on his hips. "Now, this isn't fun. You're supposed to be in here with me."
"First things first." Ianto hit the sequence to begin the decontamination. "I wonder if you'll remember what you did tonight after this." Ianto smirked as he considered the blackmail material he could have on his hands.
And then he remembered this was Jack he was talking about and decided that Jack would be telling the story for centuries to come.
With a woosh and a twinkle, indeed, Ianto thought. That was Jack to a tee.
