(It was really difficult to come up with something other than John walks in on Chi and D'argo and threesome ensues. But I did it!)
It's not really a secret that Chiana has a bit of a thing for John. Chiana has a bit of a thing for everyone. D'Argo is learning to live with that.
Somehow the conversation gets onto John and Chi's constant flirting, and it comes out that, "Well, I did kiss him one time."
And that does catch D'Argo by surprise.
"Wait, when was this?"
"Oh, ages ago, Big Guy," John's quick to assure him, "Before you two hooked up. It was, uh, right before that time we set a moon on fire. Remember that?"
John's kindof smiling to himself, probably over the frelled up state of their lives, as he does. Or possibly over the way Chiana kisses.
"Right," is all D'argo manages.
Chiana giggles and snuggles further onto his lap. "What, you're not jealous, are you?"
D'Argo makes a show of scoffing at the idea. "No, of course not. Me? Jealous?"
Chi rolls her eyes, but John leans forward, looking all earnest.
"Hey, man, you've got nothing to worry about. There's nothing going on there."
They share a warm, comradely smile, and D'Argo relaxes.
And then Chiana snorts derisively and says, "Yeah, sure. The same way there's nothing going on between the two of you."
John and D'Argo both splutter a lot at that.
Chi giggles again, delighted, and assures them, "Don't worry, I'm totally drad with that."
She waggles her eyebrows suggestively, just to prove it.
Slowly, John and D'Argo share an entirely different smile. This one's a lot more speculative.
"Just as long as it does require some chains, your Qualta blade, and a squirt of lutra oil," John says.
D'Argo grins. "Oh, we'll need more than a squirt."
