An excellently plotted story, the one drawback being that I feel Charles should've been portrayed as just a bit less...useless; though kudos are in order for skilfully tackling the 'obsessive genius scientist' persona and how it clouds one's ethical judgement even when they themselves are morally sound. The way the romance played out was also quite interesting: while I like happily-ever-afters as much as the next girl, it's a refreshing change to see a relationship sacrificed for the sake of the greater good - which also draws a reverse parallel of sorts with Professor X and Magneto's split in-canon.
