Work Text:
Chuck opens his eyes to find himself lying supine on a beach; he can't quite remember what they were drinking, where they were, or when that was, but he does know that that colour of the sky is called dawn.
Bryce sits in the sand next to him facing out to sea, one hand stealing heat from Chuck's belly as he absently toys with the faintly coarse hairs he finds there. He looks so pensive, so damnably serious, that Chuck doesn't interrupt; he discovers later they were in Malibu, a place he forever associates with Bryce Larkin and grave reflection.
Notes:
Apologies to Pooh and AA Milne for stealing the Thinking Spot, but Bryce needed one.
