Ueda was not exactly sure of how they ended up like this.

Kame and him in a cheap hotel room, the kind that came with dirty sheets and grimy walls, the smell of their sex still heavy in the air. Kame was already snoring softly beside Ueda who was still wide awake. Sleep seemed to evade him, leaving his mind wide open for his thoughts to haunt.

It was not supposed to be like this.

Kame had Akanishi and he had Ryo, right now Ueda was supposed to be in the house he shared with Ryo, watching the daily news or preferably making hot love to each other.

Ueda stared unseeingly at the ceiling, wondering exactly where along the line of all the heated kisses and 'I love you's had they gone wrong.

Ueda ignored it the first time, and the second and third time it happened,
dismissing the foreign scent on Ryo as a new cologne and the late nights as Ryo simply enjoying one too many bottles of beer with his friends, but there was only so much a guy like Ueda could take and on the eighth night he decided to question Ryo on where exactly had he been, why had he been coming home so late these few days, and what that goddamn scent was.

Ueda did not cry, he was never one to resort to tears.

So he simply waited by the coffee table, and as the clock chimed midnight, the door clicked open. Ryo stumbled in, the stench of alcohol and cigarette smoke permeating the air, choking Ueda but he had learned to brush that off too.

Funny how Ueda learned so much when he was around Ryo.

Not long later, Ueda asked Ryo where did he go, Ryo shot back with his own question, where exactly did the Princess think he went? It went on like this for sometime, chairs were thrown, shards of glass narrowly missing the others face and before he knew it, Ryo was standing in the corridor, his very own door being slammed into his face.

After an hour had passed, Ueda opened the door. Ryo was gone, he had not even bothered to stay, or apologise at the very least. To hell with Nishikido, Ueda decided, who he sleeps with is his own problem.

While washing up before heading to bed, Ueda looked into the mirror and found that he was crying, hot tears leaving wet tracks on his cheeks in their wake which was weird because Ueda never cried, so why was he crying over an insensitive, unfaithful bastard?

A few days passed and Ryo was still not back, the dinner Ueda left behind for him already gone stale.

It was not till he went out for lunch with Maru and Koki that he found out where Ryo was,
none other than the home of his ex-bandmate Akanishi Jin.

The realisation would have stung less if it was some casual girl from the streets, but Akanishi?
Ueda felt a feeling in his gut, similar to how he felt when somebody lands a pretty bad punch on his stomach.

Ueda knew that in the entertainment business, one must learn to be a little more generous for anybody could be fucking with everybody, and so one must learn to not put things like this to heart. Ueda knew that, accepted that but Ueda was not just an average anybody, Ueda had always been a little possessive of what was his and Ryo knew that, so why was he sleeping with somebody else, namely Akanishi Jin?

Well, Ueda mused, after he had gone home once again to an empty house, two can play at that game.

It had not taken much, Ueda simply asked Kame after a photoshoot to go out for dinner together and if possible a drink or two after that.

"You do know that Jin's sleeping around right?" Ueda asked, Kame's cup paused midway to his lips.

"Does he never?" Kame replied wryly, he took a small sip of his beer and resumed his dinner.

"Who is it this time?"

"Nishikido."

A beat of silence, broken only by the hustle bustle of the diner they were in. After they had finished their dinner, they left the diner decidedly fuller and more drunk than when they first entered.

They ambled slowly beside each other, each lost in their own thoughts.

At least till they walked pass a news stand, a tabloid had a picture of Ryo and Akanishi on it's cover page.

Something in Ueda snapped.

Pushing Kame against the hard concrete wall in the back of an abandoned alley, Ueda kissed him, hard.

Flustered, Kame frantically pushed Ueda away and sputtered, "Ueda! What are you do-"

Only to be pulled by Ueda into another kiss, this time he added his tongue into the mix,
successfully managing to silence Kame who moaned softly and unconsciously ground his hip into Ueda's leg,
the sound needy and thugging at something in Ueda's heart.

Much too soon, Ueda pulled back and leaned heavily against Kame, each word a soft caress against his cheeks.
"Call this whatever you want, I call this having revenge."
