I have read many stories that discuss the interregnum period between modern earth and the future seen in Crystal Tokyo and each one brought a unique perspective. This, however, brought a strong dash of realism to a pretty unrealistic idea and did not shy away from the fact that they're magical moon warriors and some people just can't go for that. The depth of research and the time that was spend making sure that the reader realizes, as the senshi do, that not everyone's gonna be cool with this is refreshing and frankly needed. Sometimes there is a level of realism that a story like only Sailor Moon can create needs.
