Speeding Towards Freedom

Chapter Text

It was love at first sight for Kurt, the two Lamborghinis were dented with faded and peeling paint (a bright sunny yellow and a fiery red, respectfully). But they were still beautiful and with a lot of TLC, he knew he and his dad could get them back into tip-top working condition and he knew it would be the best thing to happen. Now, Kurt just needed to get his dad on board with buying them from the junkyard and finding a way to get them to the shop.

Amazingly, it didn’t take much to get his dad to agree. Smiling gleefully, pleased, Kurt pranced over to the two cars; hands lovingly going over their frames. “Don’t worry hunnies, when we’re done with you, everyone will be jealous of just how brilliant you two will be.” Kurt whispered to the cars, excitement in his voice.

“Kurt, we need to go now!” he heard his dad call out. Kurt detached himself away from the two Lamborghinis, reluctantly.

“I’ll be back in a few days, don’t worry.” he told them, before walking towards were his dad was waiting. If Kurt had looked back, he would have noticed how the headlights brighten before winking out again. Instead, he met up with his dad and left the junkyard, with a promise that the two Lambos would be sent to their shop within three-five business days. Kurt was excited, he couldn’t wait to tell Blaine about his newest pet project.

Chapter Text

It took Kurt and his dad over a year to work on the two Lambos, between ordering new parts and Kurt being in school and Burt having to work on other cars at the shop. But finally, a month before school ended for Kurt’s Junior year, they could only stare in awe at the two restored Lambos. And the timing couldn’t have come too soon, either. For Kurt wanted to surprise his boyfriend, Blaine, with the cars; he could just see the look of astonishment in those amber eyes.

Smiling at the thought of Blaine, Kurt meandered to the restored Lambos, lightly running his fingers over the new paint jobs. His dad had wanted to paint them a dark blue and black, but Kurt had veto’d that. He wanted them to keep their original colors, since they seemed to fit the Lambos somehow. So, one was a bright sunny yellow and the other was a beautiful fiery red.

Yes, they had done a great job in bringing the Lambos back to their rightful glory. He couldn’t believe someone had trashed them, they were still only a few years old and in great condition now. He couldn’t wait ‘til the weekend, Blaine was going to love them. One more pet on the hoods, Kurt walked back to his car and left the shop. Never noticing the way the two Lambos moved closer to each other and the soft whirring clicking sounds coming from them.

“Hey, Sides. You think that Kurt kid would be willing to wax my paint again? That felt really nice.” Sunstreaker told his Twin through their Link.

“Maybe, Sunny. But I think we need to contact Optimus and tell him what’s happen since our last communication, first.” Sideswipe replied back, sending a gentle pulse back to his more vain Twin.

Sunstreaker sighed reproachfully, agreeing and letting his Twin contact Optimus Prime back at their Base. Ratchet was going to never let them leave the Medbay now.

Chapter Text

For the record, it was Sunstreaker's fault that Kurt and Blaine found out that the two Lambos weren't just cars. Really, it was by complete accident, the two teenagers finding out about Alien Robots. Summer vacation had just started, and Kurt was dragging his boyfriend over to his dad's auto shop; wanting to show him the surprise he'd been teasing Blaine with for a month. Watching Blaine's mouth drop in amazement at the two restored Lamborghinis resting behind the shop, made Kurt cover a giggle.

"Kurt.... Where did you guys get these?" Blaine asked, disblief in his amber eyes.

"We found them at some junkyard over a year ago. They were completely dented, the hood of the yellow one was crushed, it looked liked someone took a wrecking ball to them really. Paint was faded and peeling off, they looked terrible. But we got them for a steal, and dad and I have been working on restoring them to their glory for over a year." Kurt told his boyfriend, pride in what he and his dad had done.

Blaine smiled at him, proud for Kurt. He looked back at the Lambos, taking in their sleek paint jobs and how they didn't look like they'd been complete wrecks just over a year ago.

"Are you going to take them out for test drives?"

Kurt looked over at him, "Yeah. In a couple more weeks, I want to get some of my summer work done and out of the way. That way I can spend time on them and maybe go on a small roadtrip, if you're willing to help me out?" Blaine smiled at him, nodding his agreement. Kurt leaned over and kissed his cheek.

"Oh, please. Just mate already with!" Kurt and Blaine jumped apart, fear and shock in their eyes. Trying to find who talked. Silence, then a loud clicking sound came from near the Lambos.

"Slag it, Sunny! Now you've done it, afthead." The.... the red Lamborghini was talking. The cars were freaking talking!! Kurt would deny it later, but he screamed like a little girl right then. Causing the two Lambos to move on their own!! Blaine was to shocked, but he did step in front of his freaking out boyfriend.

"Who, who are you?" he demanded, feeling Kurt clutch at his arm.

The yellow Lambo rocked on it's wheels, the red one nudging it. "I'm Sunstreaker and the red one is my Twin, Sideswipe. We're Autobots, from the planet Cybertron. Thank you for fixing us, by the way. Damn 'Cons got the better of us and sent us into Stasis Lock until a few months ago when you and your Male Creator somehow got onlined us." the yellow Lam- no, Sunstreaker told them.

Kurt felt faint, this was too much. "I- Holy crap. I need to sit down, Blaine." Letting go of the arm in front of him, he sank down on the ground; taking deep breaths in hopes of calming down. Blaine sat down next to him, keeping an eye on the two Alien Robots in front off them. He knew that he shouldn't, but this was pretty awesome. Aliens, Robot Aliens, right in front of him! This was like, the coolest thing ever!
