"Gunn! I need you to help me come move this equipment."
"Sure thing, boss"
They were all sitting in the lobby of the hotel, Fred and Cordy were talking, Wes was researching or something. Angel wasn't sure what, as they weren't really on a particular case at the moment. Angel was trying to clean up and organize their weapons cabinet. Spike, well Spike was annoying Angel, as usual.
-whoooooosh-
All of a sudden. They weren't in the Hyperion anymore. They were on some bizarrely primitive, at least compared to downtown Los Angeles, planet standing in front of a statue of a particularly angry looking man.
"Okay. Now I'm usually accustomed to weird, you know with the whole High School on a Hellmouth thing, but this is beyond anything I've experienced. I didn't even see a portal opening. What the hell is going on."
"Honestly Cordelia, I have no idea, I've never read of a portal without an opening", Wes stated with as much confusion as Cordelia.
That didn't have the chance to hear the people walking up behind them.
"Wow, this must be what going mad feels like"
"Well, not so much going mad, as unexplained mojo that is—Woah! Nope, you were right, mad.
Angel had turned around, and he was pretty sure the rest of his team was experiencing the same sense of shock. Standing in front of them was a group of people, featuring among them, Angel's own granddaughter, Marcus Hamilton and a man Angel was pretty sure he had seen get split in two from the crotch up.
"Okay, what are you guys up too?" Angel said nodding in particular to the Caleb, Marcus and Jasmine look-a-likes.
"What do you mean, what are we up to? We haven't done anything." Jayne responded, and he was even more freaked out by what was happening than by the statue of him on a planet on which he was trying to pass unnoticed.
"Oh, sure. You aren't doing anything. We just happen to get sucked out of our headquarters and popped right in front of three of the evilest people we know. Like that's a coincidence." Fred stated. She had learnt far too much to realize anything in this life was a coincidence.
"Okay, I have no idea what you guys are on, or playing at. I know we aren't the best of people, going your own way in this 'verse is pretty damn hard when you adhere to every letter of the law, but we FAR from the evilest people out there, and personally, I like to think that we're much better than the Alliance." Mal stated indignantly.
Spike snorted.
"Goddamn it. Does every freaking evil person in this universe have a soul now?."
