Summary
Nick shoved Natalie aside and headed for the door; they were not nearly finished and she'd be damned if she'd let him walk away. Nick falls off the wagon, Nat tries to talk to him, but he's well over the edge, out of control and physically harms her. Nick's self control slips and he lashes out with his strength, rather than his fangs, against the one he cares for most. A riveting take on the dark side of Nick and Natalie's relationship, and how it could be perceived by those not "in the know". It puts to light what I can never eloquently express no matter how many essays, rants and recaps I write: that their codependency is not at all dissimilar from a relationship between a temperamental alcoholic, and his enabling spouse who blames herself for his shortcomings.
