The Reservoir -- Sufjan Stevens songfic, "The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades Is Out to Get Us!"
I'd highly recommend listening to the song, and then giving this wonderful explication a spin.from toft: The Reservoir - Sufjan Stevens, The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades is Out to Get Us! (song). This is, basically, original gay fiction about two teenage boys, but it captures the narrative feel of the song really well which I've always loved, that bittersweet sense of yearning, slightly rueful memory. It's beautifully written.
from tww: (The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades Is out to Get Us) - This one is atmospheric and slow and sweet, which is just right as accompaniment to the song it's based on. Like the PSA story written for me, this is an amazing fleshing out of the story I could feel, but not see, in the canon source - really wonderful.
