This is fantastic! And here I thought I wouldn't find anything new, shiny and precious in my beloved old fandom! I like pretty much everything: how the whole story unfolds, slowly, without fireworks, just life, plain (?) and simple, leading us through strange coffee shops; wonderful characterization of Rodney: it's... so plausible to me that he would do something like this, for each and every one of his obsessions, so why not for coffee?; and John who is not so messed up like everywhere else and still remains the John we learnt to love.
