    Daddy issues in ancient Rome. Okay, no, that's way too flippant for a serious, even tragic portrayal of someone who struggles under the force of his father's personality and expectations. I loved the psychological realism - pretty much everyone felt like a real person, even if (like with Cicero) we only got glimpses of them. Something to really get your teeth into.
