Shuffle, Round II

Work Text:

Kids Inc. - Holiday

Yes! At last school was out. A long three months of romance awaited Kristy Thomas the summer before her sophomore year at Stoneybrook High. She quickly rushed through the doors to find Bart; standing up against a car he knew wasn't his. When he saw her, he waved.

"Shall we go then?" he asked.

Point of Grace - Saving Grace

Life stunk sometimes for David Michael. He tried so hard to keep a smile on his face all the time, but it was hard. David Michael didn't have a dad. His siblings didn't have a dad. His mother didn't have a husband. They were so alone, sometimes.

Francesca Battistelli - Hold Out for Love

Claudia smiled as she found what awaited her in the box at the front of her college dorm room. Contained in the unshipped box were a few Twinkies, two modern Nancy Drew books, and a note.

Hope college is splendid!

Love,

Janine + Charlie

Claudia smiled again as she thought about what happened with her relationship with her sister…and her sister's relationship with Charlie.

pureNRG - One Word

Love. The word chilled Stacey. Love. Something she had. Sam, a high-schooler, was also something/body she had. Because of Love.

Michael W. Smith - He Could Be the Messiah

The idea of singing a song for the Christmas play intrigued college-aged Mary Anne deeply. She couldn't seem to be able to pick out a song, however. All the Christmas hymns had been far overdone, and modern Christmas songs had already been taken.

After struggling for a good few days, Mary Anne eventually decided on Michael W. Smith's He Could Be the Messiah. A song pertaining to what was at hand, yet still fresh.

Mary Anne could relate to the song.

Sixpence None the Richer - Breathe Your Name

I can only breathe your name. The lyrics rung in Mallory's ears. They reminded her she had a boyfriend. Well, sort of. But anyways, the Australian made her feel bubbly with the glee of young love. A glee she loved.

The Monkees - When Love Comes Knockin' at Your Door

Ducky recalls hearing the Monkees tune on the radio as a kid. Love. What a strange, strange thing.

Kids Inc. - Twist of Fate

Twist of fate. Lyrics that scared Ducky McCrae out of his wits. A twist of fate was what he was experiencing. A twist of fate that twisted him, Sunny, Alex and Ted into a horrible mess.

Michael W. Smith - I Wanna Tell the World

Andrew had a love. A strange, complicated love. They were the ones all at the center of it, and their relationship grew more complex by the day…boy, oh, boy was it happy.

So, Andrew still has a love. A love that makes him want to tell the world.

John Waller - Hands of the Healer

Stacey McGill had never been as happy as she was then. Life was less complicated. She had friends, ones that wouldn't abandon her if things became worse. Dr. Johanssen had helped her. Really helped her. When her advice was applied, Stacey's health remained the same, but her emotions 'got better'.

Charlotte Joohenssen was the best sitting charge Stacey ever got.
