    Summary

Following a bizarre accusation in a brutal crime, Harry Potter finds himself a loner and an outcast, as Draco Malfoy reigns supreme in the innermost social circles. A vengeful optician, a fifteen-year-old homeless Squib, and Harry and Draco's penchant for charitable giving all come into play as Blaise Zabini makes an unusual bet with Draco. Per fest prompt, loosely inspired by George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion (1912) and the movie She's All That (1999). [HP/DM] [SM/OFC] [PLATONIC DM/AG] [PAST PP/DM] [PAST HP/GW] [EWE] [POST-HOGWARTS]

Loved this. It was twisty and unexpected and totally void of cliche. The Draco characterization was phenomenal. The Harry I could see happening after being accused of assaulting Ginny. I kind of wish we could have heard from Harry's kids, but I loved Scorpious and Eliza enough that it wasn't a big deal. Every encounter Harry and Draco had was smoking hot with tension and I loved that Astoria wasn't Draco's hag or a ice queen but a real person with strengths and flaws. Filch's sorting scene was delightful, and all the work with Squibs was well done.
