As with all of my Ithilien stories, I owe a debt of inspiration to ![[profile]](http://s.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png){kind=small}
tanaquilotr. Her stories and our discussions over the years have influenced my own vision of Faramir's family dynamic, though I have not consciously reused specific details for this story. The stuffed pony is (in my mind) the pony from just_ann_now's and edoraslass's stories. I hope they don't mind this small reference to pony!fic. In those stories the pony is Elfwinë's, but I can see it being passed around that family. (Or perhaps packed away and refound; children rarely give up their favorite toys willingly, even once outgrown.)
This story is definitely OC-centric. Aldric and Findhwen are my own invention, and even Elboron and Elfwinë are barely named in canon. (For those who don't have HoMe memorized; they are the heirs of Faramir and Éomer respectively.) Findhwen will grow up to become Barahir's mother in my 'verse. I have tried to extrapolate from canon, though, and hope this view of Faramir's and Eowyn's children is believable.
dohtor min is my attempt at a bit of Rohirric. It should mean simply "my daughter." Béma is the Rohirric name for Oromë.
