Aramley's only Inception fic, this Roman AU plays effortlessly with language, allowing Arthur (in whose head we are) to sound cuttingly modern and yet constantly reference Roman cultural elements - it's a bit like watching "Blackhawk Down" in a Spartacus setting. I laughed (the whole story would have been worth it just for a one-line joke in the middle) and sympathised utterly with poor Arthur and his ever-ramping frustration. Gorgeously written.
