Chapter 1: Prologue
"Where are you hiding? Don't leave me."
The childish voice echoes through the corridor.
"You can't just keep me waiting. I need you..."
After the voice, giggling in the same tone can be heard.
Shuichi Saihara, the Super High School Level Detective, was walking to school one morning. He had his shoulder bag and usual hat he wears. Despite being next to a nice pond nearby as he walked, he only stared down at his feet with a neutral expression as he walked further. That is, until he heard a familiar voice.
The moment that voice spoke, Saihara stopped in his tracks to hear Claire de lune play in the back of his mind. He looked up and turned to see the beautiful Super High School Level Pianist, Kaede Akamatsu cheerfully jogging up to him, holding the strap on her bag with her left hand and waving with her right hand.
Kaede finally reached Saihara, stopped and bent down a little breather before stretching back up at Saihara.
Kaede: "Jeez, don't walk off on me like that."
Kaede placed her index finger on her cheek and tilts her head while saying this. It made Saihara's heart go doki doki.
Saihara: "Right. Apologies, Akamatsu-san."
Saihara didn't run off on Kaede at all, but Saihara, despite being aware of that, didn't clarify that and apologised to Kaede anyway. The two eventually continued walking, this time together and almost in sync pacing.
Kaede: "So, did you have any detective business on the weekend?"
Saihara: "Huh? Don't you know... I'm still in training and I've only solved one major case. It's incredibly rare I'd have any work to do, and even then, I'd mostly observe my uncle doing all the work."
Kaede: "Ahh, I see. Well, that's very disappointing."
Saihara remained calm, and thankfully, Saihara's hat prevented Kaede from noticing his ahoge dropping down almost instantly.
Kaede: "Well, I had a great weekend."
Saihara: "Is that so?"
Kaede: "Mhm. Amami-kun took me to this amazing all-you-can-eat restaurant. Of course, I stuffed myself. How could you not? Almost everything there was irresistible. It must have been very expensive, yet Amami-kun paid all of it."
Saihara: "That's what a rich family able to afford a maid and having several mothers can do."
Kaede: "Oh, that's right. He did mention being part of a rich family a few times in the past, huh? That explains why he barely ate. He must be used to this type of delicacy. And I mean it when he said he barely ate, he somehow resisted a lot of this and just settled it with some drinks and a calamari meal. That's impressive, you'd understand what I'd mean if you were there. Gosh, Amami-kun really is impressive. He practically paid for me and I'm so grateful for it, he's like a white knight. And there were other peo-"
Kaede saw Saihara's head went back down and his hat was covering his full expression.
Kaede: "Oh, sorry? Did I ramble on for too long?"
Saihara: "N-No... Please... Continue..."
Saihara was hiding his watery eyes from Kaede while trying to get Claire de lune out of his head.
Both Kaede and Saihara enter the classroom to see that many members of the group got here earlier than usual. Saihara's usually one of the first of the classmates to arrive.
Angie: "Hiyonara, Shuichi and Kaede~. What took you so long?"
Kaede: "Sorry, I just saw Saihara-kun walking and we decided to chat for a little bit."
Maki: "I see, so Saihara slowed you down."
Saihara: "Hey, don't... Put it like that."
Saihara held onto his hat and tipped it down over his face slightly.
Saihara: "Also, what's this about taking long? I always arrive here around this time. Same for Akamatsu-san. If anything, you guys are early."
Ouma: Aww, did you really forget Saihara-chan? You're so cruel..."
Saihara was confused. Forget what?
Saihara: "...What's going on?"
Iruma: "Wow, you're fuckin' clueless. It's Yumeno-san's last day of school and we planned to have a full-day surprise party for her."
Iruma's hair started to curl and shrivel up.
Iruma: "N-Not that I care about the fuckin' brat. I just... I wasn't lonely at all, I swear!"
Saihara awkwardly stares at Iruma slowly breaking down into an emotional wreck. Eventually, he comes to ignore her and turns to the other members of the group.
Saihara: "Yeah, I never knew about any of this."
Tenko: "What!? You forgot that we may never see Yumeno-san again!? Not even a menace could be that heartless!"
Maki and Kiibo grab onto Tenko's arms in case she might make a run for Saihara and flip him.
Saihara: "Are you sure I forgot? I really don't think you guys notified me. When did we discuss all this?"
Tenko: "Will your brain grow a size if I remind you? It was at the all-you-can-eat res-"
Tenko slowly started to place her fingers together twirling them awkwardly.
Tenko: "Th-The one that you didn't arrive to... On the weekend... Heh..."
Saihara stepped back in shock.
Saihara: "You seriously forgot I wasn't there!?"
Kaede: "Ha ha, remember when I said there were other people with me and Amami-kun..."
Kaede tried to keep a smile on her face but it only made things more awkward.
Kirumi: "Deepest apologies, Saihara-kun. Would you like a massage to make up for it?"
Saihara: "Huh? Uh, no... It's fine Toujou-san, but thanks for the offer."
Korekiyo: "...I'd like a massage from Toujou-san."
Everyone ignored Korekiyo.
Kaito: "Damn, and I just finished too."
Kaito walked down from the step ladder after putting a banner up around the classroom window, with Maki assisting from the sides.
Kaito: "You could have given me a hand with the decorations if ya just arrived earlier."
Saihara: "Ah, sorry Momota-kun. If I knew about this, I would have been sure to try and help."
Tsumugi: "Oh, by the way Saihara-kun, in case it wasn't obvious this was Chabashira-san's idea."
Saihara: "No surprise there."
Saihara stared into Tenko's direction, looking up to show a clear facial expression of a gentle smile.
Saihara: "You're a really good friend, Chabashira-san. I'm sure Yumeno-san will love what you've done for her."
Tenko started to go bright red so she covered her mouth and gave a smug smile thinking she's hidden her blush, when literally everyone can see she's as bright as a tomato.
Tenko: "As much as I hate being praised by a menace, I have to give my thanks."
The group is distracted and almost instantly in sync draws their attention to the classroom door once it slides open once more. The Super High School Level Adventurer, Rantaro Amami and the Super High School Level Entomologist, Gonta Gokuhara, entered the room together.
Amami: "We're backssu. The principle gave us full permission to stay here the whole day doing this, thinking it was a very thoughtful idea and it could bring the class together."
Amami looked to the side to notice the two new additions to the group.
Amami: "Ah, looks like you finally arrived. I was wondering where you two weressu."
Kaede: "Aha, sorry Amami-kun. We got a little sidetracked."
Iruma: "And by that, she means you got cucked by a cuck!"
Kaede: "Huh!? Of course not, what does that even mean!?"
Iruma: "I-It was just a joke, no need to yell at me..."
Gonta: "Gonta hasn't seen you in forever!"
Saihara dodged out of the way to avoid getting the hug of death from Gonta, and gave a small wave to him instead.
Saihara: "Good morning, Gonta-kun. I'm happy you're glad to see me."
Gonta: "Very glad. If you hadn't arrived later, Gonta would have refused to begin the party."
Saihara: "That's... Very sweet of you. Thank you."
Saihara is happy that someone in this class full of douchebags actually cared about Saihara.
The door slides open again and everyone's attention is drawn back to it. This time, Ryoma being the one to enter.
Ryoma: "She's right around the corner."
Kaito: "Alrighty then, everyone get into their positions."
Maki: "We weren't assigned any."
Kaito: "Well... Then just get ready."
The cute little loli opens the door to a loud group of her classmates screaming "Surprise" at the top of their lungs.
Ouma: "Happy birthday, Flat-tits- Gah...!"
Ouma's fun spoiling joke is interrupted by Maki forcing him quickly into the locker and leaning against it so he can't get out. However, Yumeno doesn't seem as eventful.
All chimes, noises and background music was stripped from the scene and it was just a short series of awkward nothingness. Yumeno didn't even bat her eyes.
Ryoma: "Not even a flinch."
Tenko: "Y-Yumeno-san... Is something wrong? Did you expect this outcome or something?"
Yumeno: "No, it's not that, it's just... What's going on?"
Tenko: "Oh, I see! You're just confused is all! Well, you see, this is a goodbye party for you in order to celebrate the fun times we've all had with you together. Kyaaah! I'm getting excited just thinking about it!"
Angie: "It's a party that we planned together specifically for you, since it's your last day and all~."
Yumeno: "Wha-!? Really!? For me!?"
Suddenly, the room had burst with positive energy all around, to the point where even Yumeno felt more excitable.
It seems Angie's persuasion moved Yumeno more than Tenko.
Angie: "Thaaaaats right~. We'll hold stalls with each other, have a food stand, perform class orgies-"
Kiibo: "I think you should stop talking after that second part."
Yumeno: "Heh. This sounds like fun."
Kirumi: "Indeed, but before we start..."
Kirumi turns to Maki.
Kirumi: "Harukawa-san, could you please stop leaning against that locker and let him go?"
Maki: "I don't want to."
Ouma: "Harukawa-chaaaan...! It's dark in here...! Please let me out...! Is this what your soul feels like...!?"
Maki: "However, if it's by request, and it'll stop his whining..."
Maki turned and opened the locker by hand. Ouma tumbled out and landed on his hands and knees on the floor. He slowly began to get back onto his feet.
Ouma: "You're so cruel, Harukawa-chan. It was just a joke."
Maki: "Just like your life."
Kaito: "Don't waste your breath on him, Harumaki. You should know better than to give him the provocation that he wants."
Maki: "You're right, so I'll stop. I can't confirm it won't happen again."
Angie waved her arm to get everyone's attention to her.
Angie: "Alrighty then. Have we all gathered~?"
Amami: "Seems like itssu."
Tsumugi: "Mhm, all present and unoccupied."
Angie: "Righto, then with that... Let Himiko's final day begin~!"
Iruma: "...You guys got the goods, right?"
Ryoma: "Not entirely sure if you meant the food and drinks, the heroin or both."
Saihara had completely forgotten about the class forgetting him after seeing everyone gather to start the day. He knew the special friend speaking to him when he hears Claire de lune play in the back of his head once more.
Kaede: "You joining in, Saihara-kun?"
Kaede gives a nice and pretty smile while placing her hand on Saihara's shoulder.
Saihara: "...Yes, of course I am."
Saihara smiled back at her. The goodbye party started and almost everyone was having a great time.
Kirumi was serving the other students and delivered specific snacks to students who were too lazy to get up and walk to the table.
Korekiyo was able to watch the beauty of humanity taking place before his eyes as his classmates each bonded together with this celebration.
Tenko and Angie were supposed to host activities together, but it seemed they competed for stealing the role of hostess, it was to the point where Yumeno got bored of the activities and just decided to socialise with other students.
Kaito was always by the punch bowl trying to get Maki to participate with them, but to no luck. However, she did watch from the sidelines.
Ouma was following Saihara around, and regonized the musical score Claire de lune coming from Saihara's head for some reason as Saihara stared at Kaede cheering on Amami who was participating against Angie in a dart game.
Iruma spent a lot of time by the food table, often complaining that she ran out of chips in a single packet instead of just going to get another packet from the bag.
Ryoma was watching from the sidelines wondering what it'd be like to feel such fun and happiness like his classmates do. He was approached by Tsumugi who lent him her phone which was opened up to the cat folder. Ryoma was excited and scrolled through the folder happily, until a picture of his deceased girlfriend got mixed in. A smug grin emanated from Tsumugi's face as her glasses resembled that of Delta.
Eventually, it got dark after school, and the group spent the dark with the lights off telling legends and ghost stories to each other.
Angie: "And then... She was found on the floor with an axe in her chest!"
Yumeno: "Naah...! Then what happened!?"
Angie: "Well, it's a long story, but if I were to rush it, it results in her actually being alive, but the students ignore her thinking she's dead. She's picked up and chopped to pieces as soon as she gains consciousness."
Yumeno: "Much spooky..."
Angie: "Oh, you don't want to hear about the girl who's neck got squished by a tentacle vine then. The blood poured all the way to her legs!"
Yumeno: "Oh, I really do. It sounds like a tragic tale."
Tenko: "Kh! This story is lame! Not even scary!"
Korekiyo: "Then why are you leaning on Akamatsu-san's shoulder?"
Tenko: "Better question? How on earth can you see in the dark!?"
Saihara: "A-Akamatsu-san's... Being leaned on?"
Angie: "Another part of the story has this boy who ties his friend to the floor and slowly cuts his stomach and makes him bleed further and further."
Tsumugi: "Oh my, a yandere!? Now I'm interested! But... Where did you hear this story?"
Angie: "About that..."
The shutter opens and the lights turn on.
Gonta: "My eyes...!"
A familiar voice is heard followed by a matching figure at the door. It was their teacher.
"Oops! Sorry about that, were you guys telling stories?"
Korekiyo: "Angie-san was providing us with a delightful tale."
Both Kaito and Tenko were shivering like they were in the arctic.
Maki: "It's not a very good story if you skip through most of it just to get to the more unsettling parts."
"Ah, judging from that, they're ghost stories?"
Angie: "That's right~. They seem to be based on a true story from my sources... How or when that story occurred, however, I refuse to tell you."
Yumeno: "Wha... Angie, you're creeping me out."
Angie: "Creeping? You out?"
Yumeno: "That's not helping your case at all."
"Well, how about I help you guys by getting a lamp and some marshmallows. It'll be like an idoor campfire."
Ouma: "Marshmallows!? I'm in!"
Amami: "Very good ideassu. May I assist?"
"That's fine, Amami. You've already helped the class enough, it's time you enjoy their reward along with them."
Tenko: "Sensei, make sure you give strawberry marshmallows to the special girl."
Yumeno: "Ah, so you were aware I like those."
"Alright then, will do. You kids have fun until I get back."
The teacher closes the door to find some marshmallows for the group.
Angie: "...So anyway, as I was saying, this story was told to me by the lord himself after I visited a website that gives instructions to perform this strange friendship ritual."
Kirumi: "Hm? Strange... Friendship ritual, you say?"
Angie: "When dear friends are to depart, people perform this special ritual with a paper doll at school to keep their friendships in tact forever, maybe even meeting one another again."
Tenko: "A friendship ritual that could keep me with Yumeno-san forever no matter how far away she is!? Why didn't you tell us this before!? What do we have to do!?
Kiibo: "Hold on a minute! You're saying your god gave you a vision of a really complex and brutal story the moment you found this website which gave instructions to a ritual? I... Don't think that's normal. What do you think?"
Kaito: "I'm not buyin' it either. This shit sounds suspicious."
Iruma: "You guys are fuckin' pussies! Being afraid of some lucky charm dance because some mentally retarded religious freak told you she learnt some Halloween story!?"
Ouma: "She's right, you know. Doesn't that make you look like a coward?"
Ouma placed his finger over his mouth to imply being sly and stared at Kaito specifically.
Kaito: "I'll show you who's a fuckin' coward! Angie, how do you pull this shit off!?"
Ryoma: "Alas, he fell for it hook, line and sinker."
Ouma: "Woah, Momota-chan, I was just joking around. This about this, what if you're right for once and this ends badly?"
Kaito: "Heh, who's the coward now!?"
Ouma: "...Whatever. Let's just get this over with."
Korekiyo: "How does one participate in this game?"
Angie: "Well, you see..."
Angie reaches for her backpack by her desk and pulls out a blank piece of paper as well as some scissors. She cuts a paper doll out of it and hands it up to the other students who each have her full attention.
Angie: "You just take one of these, put all your friends into a circle and have them grab onto a piece of the doll~. Of course, it has to be at midnight inside of School grounds."
Tsumugi: "A little convenient to our current situation, but... I don't see the harm in that."
Maki: "It sounds like a waste of time, but it's not like I have anything better to do."
Kiibo: "Hmm... Simple enough, although I'm still skeptical. Not sure why someone would dedicate an entire website to a ritual as simple as that."
Gonta: "Perhaps the creator of the website is like Shirogane-san and their very passionate about their interests, and they wanted to share it with everyone."
Tsumugi: "Heh, yeah. I can confirm that I'd definitely do something like that."
Kiibo: "...Alright then, I'm in."
Yes, the group really is that gullible. They each got together until they formed a circle and held onto different parts of the doll. Saihara heard that music play in his head again.
"Saihara-kun... I guess that this means no matter what, we'll always be friends forever."
Angie: "And pull~!"
The clock struck midnight and all sixteen members of the group pulled on the doll, and got their own individual part of it.
Angie: "The fate has been sealed."
Silence echoes throughout the room.
Ouma: "...I don't feel any different."
Kaito: "Well, duh. It's a silly friendship charm. Nothing's supposed to happen."
Iruma: "Well, then what the fuck did I waste my time for!?"
Angie: "No, no, it really did have magical abilities to maintain friendships~. God told me so. It just needs to settle in~."
Kaede: "Personally, I think it's already settled in."
Everyone looked at Kaede's pure waifubait smile.
Kaede: "It must mean our friendship with one another as a class couldn't be any stronger and more unbreakable, so no charm or ritual or spell or whatever can effect it further."
The one thing Saihara thought to himself afterwards was "why can't I get that fucking song out of my head!"
A crack noise was heard throughout the room.
Amami: "What was thatssu?"
The group turned to hear knocking on the door and a familiar voice.
"Hm? Hey kids, I can't seem to open the door. It's a sliding door so how can it be locked? Are you blocking it or something?"
Tenko: "Sensei, we're not blocking the door."
"Hello? Anyone in there?"
Iruma: "Wait, you can't hear us!? I thought you were one of the younger teachers out there!"
Yumeno: "...I think this means I should delete a certain photo album of mine."
"This isn't exactly funny. Open the door."
Tsumugi: "Guys... I really don't think he can hear us."
Kaito: "The door probably just have a sound barrier. See, let me give him a hand opening it."
Maki: "If there's a sound barrier, then how come we can hear him?"
Kaito made it towards the door but didn't reach it. Instead he started to slip. Slip right down to the floor. Saihara realized that the floor was falling down beneath them. Saihara lost consciousness. The last thing he heard was the terrified cries of his fellow classmates.
Chapter 2: Chapter 1
Saihara and Kaede's perspective.
This one is a little rushed and is really just a bunch of cuck jokes.
Saihara awoke his slumber to find himself inside of a dark hallway at night. He doesn’t understand his situation at all. Where is he? How did he get here? Why is he here?
The hallway looked old, so old that there were cracks in the floor. The layout was a simple hall with lockers paving both the left and right side. Despite the night heavily covering the hall, Saihara could make out that the lockers were red.
In the end of the hall, there was both a shoe rack and a large door. An exit, perhaps?
Saihara placed his hand onto his chin and observed from in front of him. He couldn’t make out anything else other than what he saw. Or at least, what he can see. The only light source is that the door has a light shining through, which Saihara presumes is the moon.
He looks over his shoulder and turns. The corridor behind him is pitch black making the illusion the hallway fades to nothing. He couldn’t see a thing.
Just in case something weird was going on, he didn’t want to make any noise. He doesn’t even understand his situation.
*bang bang bang*
Saihara heard a loud banging noise, and immediately turned to see what appears to be someone/something banging onto one of the lockers. Saihara slowly approaches the locker and hesitantly opens it. Strangely enough, it wasn’t locked.
The voice of a young anime girl squeals as a pile of pink and yellow spills out of the locker instantly and lands on the floor face first. Upon the girl lifting her head, Saihara instantly recognizes her identity the moment Claire de lune echoed in his head again.
Kaede: “Huh!? Oh, Saihara-kun?”
Saihara immediately helps Kaede up to her two feet and after she greets him with a smile, she innocently placed her left fingertips in between her breasts and looked around.
Kaede: “Where are we?”
Saihara: “I’m not sure. I have barely been here actually. I just woke up in the middle of the hall. Do you recognize this as part of the school?”
Kaede looked around further and observed her surroundings.
Kaede: “Nope, I’ve never seen this place before.”
Saihara: “I see. Considering you know your way around, I think we might be in a different school. Then again, it’s night and you could have misremembered.”
Kaede: “Well, I never misremember things and I am very observant of places I visit, so I can safely say I haven’t been here before.”
Saihara: “I see. I shall take your word for it. That means this might not be apart of our school.”
Kaede’s eyes dulled out and she stared at Saihara with concern.
Kaede: “Could it be… We’ve been kidnapped and taken to another school?”
Saihara: “...That is a possibility.”
Kaede: “What? O-Oh no..!”
Saihara: “However, if we were kidnapped, why would we be put here of all places? And where are the others?”
Kaede looked around once more and realized Saihara was right. It’d be weird to abduct someone and put them in a random hallway in the middle of the night.
Saihara: “Akamatsu-san, my memory is foggy. Are you able to retrace your steps”
Kaede imitated Saihara for a bit by placing her clenched hand onto her chin and pondering.
Kaede: “We were holding a goodbye party for Yumeno-san.. Then it proceeded into the night.. Then Angie-san told us ghost stories until she suggested this ritual… What was the ritual supposed to do..?”
Saihara: “Ah, that’s right. My memory’s coming back. Somehow, the teacher got separated from us and… The floor collapsed?”
Kaede: “Yeah, that’s… Not something you see everyday. Perhaps it was Yumeno-san’s magic trick?”
Saihara: “I doubt it.”
Kaede: “Something like that only happens in a dream. Maybe we really were kidnapped and started to hallucinate that.”
Saihara: “Possibly. Still, we’re not going to get answers just standing around here.”
Kaede: “Right, we should look for everyone.”
Saihara: “I mean, the exit is right there. Maybe we can figure out where this is from the outside.”
Kaede immediately ran for the door and placed her hand on the front.
Kaede: “Huh? It’s locked? No, not locked. It’s… Frozen shut like decoration stuck in place.”
Saihara followed after Kaede and tried it out himself. Kaede wasn’t wrong. The door really was stuck. It was like someone replicated a door and stuck it to a wall as a prank or something. Kaede, out of nervousness, slightly moved her leg to accidentally knock over a shoe.
Kaede: “Oops.. Huh?”
Kaede took a closer look.
Kaede: “Saihara-kun, don’t these shoes look… A little too small for a High school student?”
Saihara took a closer look. Kaede was right. The shoe was the size that matches that of a preschooler’s. He looked to the other shoes on the shoe rack. They weren’t much different and around the same size.
Saihara: “This is strange.”
Saihara looked up to see a bulletin board he couldn’t see back further in the hall due to the lockers covering his view of it. He walked up towards it and read the flyer out loud so Kaede could hear it.
Saihara: “ Heavenly Host elementary School shuts down. A terrible incident occurred involving a murder of a 9 year old girl which lead to ghost reports and several unknown casualties of students. The parents deemed this school unsafe, as well as crying families suing the school for taking their child away from them. Report: 1979 ”
Kaede was shook, so was Saihara but not as much.
Saihara: “Is this… Heavenly Host elementary?”
Kaede: “S-So this is saying… We’re in an abandoned elementary school which has been reported to have killed children years ago..?”
Saihara: “That seems to be the case, but we can’t be sure until we… Uh, look around.”
Kaede looked down at her feet in fear, then back at Saihara with confidence.
Kaede: “Right. It’s scary, but regardless of where we are and what’s going on, we won’t get out of here if we just stay here.”
Saihara and Kaede both nodded in sync and proceeded back into the hallway hesitantly descending into the dark black.
Neither Saihara, nor Kaede could see a thing. It was pitch black.
Kaede: “Ew, yuck! I stepped in something!”
Saihara: “Be careful, and try not to make any noise.”
Eventually, Saihara saw a window, which emanated a blue light into the room. Saihara used this to notice a light switch on the wall which he quickly used the opportunity for.
However, he strongly regrets doing so.
Well, the good news is they found out what Kaede stepped in. The bad news is, Kaede has stepped in intestines that were coming out of the corpse of a little girl. They tried to scream but nothing came out. They were just stunned and silent. Eventually, Saihara took a large gulp down and walked up to the corpse. It was a young girl, around the age of 6, and he didn’t recognize her. Her body seemed old, like she’d been there for months.
Saihara: “..Stay on guard, Akamatsu-san. This place doesn’t seem safe.”
Kaede: “It doesn’t SEEM safe?”
Saihara: “Okay, it isn’t safe. However, be glad. Imagine what could have happened if we stayed back in the halls.”
Kaede: “...You’re right, we’re not going to solve anything like this, and this place is unpredictable. Let’s move.”
Saihara: “However, with this, I think maybe we really were kidnapped, but whoever got us is using a certain way to get rid of us.”
Saihara: “It’s just a possibility though.”
Kaede and Saihara were going to proceed further into the halls onto to hear loud, yet strange groaning noises. At first, Saihara thoughts it was a teacher jerking off, but then realized that wasn’t the case when a huge zombie-like figure approached them. His eyes were flooded in red and black, his skin was blue and he held a sledge hammer in hand.
Kaede was understandably trembling. Saihara couldn’t believe his eyes.
Saihara: “Let’s go.”
Saihara grabbed Kaede’s hand and ran the opposite direction of the zombie-like man. However, the moans and groans behind him from the man didn’t adjust in volume. Was he following them? Saihara didn’t want to look back to see. Eventually, Kaede overtook Saihara and she ended up being the one to pull him through the halls.
Saihara: “Akamatsu-san, watc-”
Saihara failed to warn Kaede in time and she stepped right onto a gap in the floor causing her to jam her foot, eventually resulting in her floor collapsing between the two. When Saihara came to, he found himself in a small room with almost nothing inside it. Both the walls and floor were wooden. Thankfully, he couldn’t hear the man’s moans anymore. It seems Kaede gained consciousness beforehand and was looking at her foot.
Saihara: “A-Akamatsu-san, are you alright!?”
Kaede: “Yeah... I’m fine.”
Kaede was looking at her ankle with was a ring of bloody scratches due to jamming her foot through the floorboard.
Saihara: “Ah, you’re hurt. Let me give you a hand.”
Saihara got some bandages from his pocket and wrapped them around Kaede’s ankle.
Kaede: “Who was that guy?”
Saihara: “I have no idea. He almost looked undead.”
Kaede: “It seems that’s our kidnapper. Wait, did you just say undead?”
Kaede: “Saihara-kun, the flyer from back then. It said one of the reasons for the school shutting down were ghost reports. Could a zombie qualify as a ghost?”
Saihara: “Eh? You… Have a point there. But, is there such thing as the supernatural?"
Kaede: “Considering our current situation, yes. I stepped in a corpse’s intestines, mind you.”
Saihara: “Well, you never know, this could be someone setting this up to look bigger than what it actually is. However, there’s no doubt we’re in danger. That was definitely a real corpse of a young girl back there.”
Kaede: “...All of this is too much to handle. I just hope the others are okay…”
Saihara noticed tears forming in Kaede’s eyes. Saihara stared at her, and then failed to resist the urge to give her a hug.
Kaede: “Ah..! Saihara-kun?”
Saihara said nothing and just continued to hold tight. Kaede eventually wrapped her arms around his in return. Once they separated, it seems Saihara was already done with the bandaging.
Kaede: “A lot better. Thank you, Saihara-kun.”
Kaede gave a gentle, yet passionate smile to Saihara which caused Saihara to blush, and tilt his hat over his eyes. Kaede giggled a little, thinking Saihara was being adorable. Being able to read that from her expression, Saihara only just blushed harder.
Kaede: “Now then, let’s see how we can get out of here.”
Kaede got to her feet and looked around the room, followed by Saihara following after. There were no doors, windows or any sign of an exit. The only reason they could see was the hole they fell through above.
Saihara’s thought patterns are interrupted by strange black smoke seeping through the walls.
Kaede: “What’s that?”
It began to spread.
Saihara: “I don’t trust it. Try to avoid it."
That advice can only last them so long. The smoke started to fill the room, and eventually spread around their feet. Upon that, the smoke decided to rise around their bodies and…
...The smoke dived into their mouths like it was trying to fill their bodies. It caused indescribable pain. They could barely breath or move, they couldn’t even speak a sentence without long pauses between crooked words. It was like they were subjected into a ZTD replay. It sent them quickly to their knees.
Saihara: “Haaah… What… is this.. Guu… Stuff?”
Unlike Kaede, Saihara resisted and tried to cover his mouth or take some of the smoke out, but to no luck.
That voice. Suddenly, a bucket of water was poured onto both Saihara and Kaede at perfect accuracy. The smoke stopped.
Kaede: “Heh… Hehh… Hehhh…”
After the smoke let the two of them go, it seeped back into the walls. Once the two caught their breath, they looked up to see the expected reaching their hand out for them.
Amami: “Are you two alrightssu?”
Saihara: “We could be better.”
Kaede took Amami’s hand and he pulled her up from the hole, followed by Saihara. The both of them were soaking wet, and Saihara tried not to point out that Kaede’s bra was showing through her clothes.
Saihara: “Thank you for your help Amami-kun.”
Amami: “No problemssu. I heard you in trouble and came right away.”
Kaede hugged Amami tightly, in which he chuckled and didn’t mind letting her. Saihara tried to ignore getting cucked once again.
Saihara: “...Right, you poured water on us and you’re suspicions were correct it makes that weird smoke go away. Do you know something about this or did you just get lucky?”
Amami: “Ah, about thatssu… No wait, it’s nothing. It’s just a lucky guess.”
Saihara takes notice of Amami backpedaling. However, he didn’t want to bring it up. Or at least, not for now.
Kaede: “Oh hey, Amami-kun. Do you know what’s going on around here? Weren’t we just in School before?”
Amami: “I’m not suressu. It seems something unnatural is going on here. I think it might have something to do with that ritual.”
Kaede then reconsiders. That’s right, Angie’s ritual. She said it gave her a weird vision about a horror story from a website. She then proceeded to perform a ritual with us from that website.
Kaede: “I… Think you’re right.”
Amami: “In any casessu, we should look around. Maybe we’ll find something.”
Kaede: “Looking around this place? Uh, I’m not so sure about that.”
Kaede looked down at her knees nervous. Understandably so, considering her and Saihara’s experience within the last hour.
Amami: “It’s alrightssu…”
Kaede looks up to see Amami walk to Kaede and gently lift her to her feet by hand.
Amami: “You have me now.”
Kaede is infatuated by Amami’s hair flowing and his charming smile so much that she forgets her current situation temporarily.
Saihara grabs onto his chest like he’s having a heart attack.
Amami: “Come, if anything, staying here is going to have that weird zombie come after usssu.”
Saihara: “Eh? Zombie?”
Kaede: “I… I see… So that guy..:”
Amami: “I thought it was obviousssu. But if you two have doubt, then there might be a chance this is all staged.”
Cricket’s noises emanate across the area.
Saihara: “Amami-kun, we’re definitely not in a normal everyday kidnapping situation as far as we know.”
Amami: “It’s best to keep all possibilities consideredssu.”
Saihara: “That’s just another way to live in denial.”
Kaede: “I agree with Amami-kun.”
Saihara clutches his chest once again.
Down the halls, the three walked close together to avoid someone falling back. Their surroundings consisted of blood on the walls, wooden floorboard with huge cracked in holes, a series of classrooms the group decided not to enter for the meantime and occasionally a dead corpse. The school looked like a haunted hotel.
Amami: “Reeeallly creepy.”
Amami reminded us to be scared.
Kaede: “All of this is making me feel nauseous.”
Saihara: “Do you want to hold my arm to be reassured?”
Kaede: “Huh? Uh, no thanks, I’m fine.”
Saihara tried to resist clutching his heart from yet another rejection. The hallway had reached a dead end.
Amami: “It appears to be a dead endssu. I guess those classrooms are worth checking out.”
Saihara nodded and the three of them looked into the first classroom from the dead end. Inside, there were desk that barely reached above Saihara’s knees and a small storage closet in the back.
Amami noticed a small doll by his feet and picked it up. Upon doing so, he felt dizzy. Kaede decided to look into the storage closet.
Saihara: “Did you find anything?”
Kaede: “Nope. For a closet, it’s completely empty.”
However, Kaede noticed a key on the floor right in the very back of the storage closet. Suddenly, the door behind her slammed shut.
Saihara started knocking on the glass window on the door repeatedly to see if she’s alright. Kaede tried to open the handle but to no luck.
Kaede: “It’s locked for some reason.”
Kaede started to feel cold. Very cold. She looked to her right to see a sight that terrified her causing her to back into the wall. Saihara could see her from the window but not what she was looking at.
Saihara: “Akamatsu-san, what’s wrong?”
Kaede didn’t respond. She was too busy staring at the ghost of a little boy standing in front of her. It was like a boy covered in blue flames. However, his eyes were hollow and he had blood coming from his arm. He looked like a zombie, but this time glowing.
Kaede placed her delicate hand over her mouth to avoid puking from fear. It didn’t help when the ghost started moving forward. However, before she could scream, a huge smashing noise could be heard from the door.
Amami had gotten one of the chairs and taken out the glass window with it. Kaede immediately took Amami’s hand and was pulled through the window to safety. She landed on her hands and knees, scratches on her arms and legs upon going through the window and cutting herself on the glass.
Saihara: “Akamatsu-san, are you alright!?”
Kaede gave Amami another hug. Saihara looked down at his feet, this time miffed rather than distraught.
Kaede: “...Wait, the ghost!”
Kaede quickly got up and looked through the glass window, trying not to cut herself on the glass. However,
Kaede: “It’s… Gone?”
Saihara: “Gone? So that’s what you were looking at. I’m so sorry I couldn’t help you out.”
Kaede: “It’s fine. It was pretty stupid of me in the first place to go in there along and unequipped.”
Kaede turned her head back to the boys with a bittersweet and awkward smile.
Amami: “Ah, equipmentssu. In an area like this, shouldn’t we carry supplies to defend ourselves?”
Saihara: “Ah, good thinking Amami-kun. But is there anything around here we can use?”
Amami: “I don’t think sossu. I guess we’ll have to look around.”
The three of them brushed themselves off and left the classroom, Amami having previously dropped the doll back in it’s original position on purpose.
They leave the classroom, to see the hallway is a lot different than it was before.
Kaede: “The… Room changed?”
Amami: “I was wrongssu. Something supernatural has almost definitely got to be happening.”
Amami didn’t play ZTD.
Saihara: “In any case, is it still safe to look around here?”
Amami: “Well, it’s not like standing here forever is much saferssu.”
Saihara: “You make a good point.”
Saihara and Amami nod to each other and the three continue through the hall. Throughout the hall, the trio is slowly more and more unsettling with the screams of children echoing around the room. Except their screams had no direction of where they’re coming from, it seems it was just influential torment than children getting hurt.
Upon the end of the hallway, the three stopped. There not only was a dead end, but huge bloodied clumps of meat on the floor. They couldn’t tell if it was a student’s corpse or just a bunch of animal meat. It looked gooey and raw, as well as looked days old.
Saihara: “Let’s… Leave it be. It’s best not knowing what that is.”
The three decided to turn the other way and ignore it. However, there was nowhere to turn to. Aside from the classroom they left, there were no entrances or doors in sight.
Saihara: “Huh? Are we stuck?”
Amami: “Seems like itssu. There aren’t any other entrances around here. Not even turns for the hallway.”
Saihara: “I guess we’re low on opti-”
Saihara was cut off upon leaning on the wall, only to fall right through it and get separated from the two.
Saihara landed on the floor face first. He looked up to find himself in a dark library full of candles to light up the room.
Saihara: “Where am I?”
Saihara got to his feet and started to observe his surroundings while walking through the middle of the library. There wasn’t much of interest, except for how he seemingly entered some sort of passageway.
Saihara: “Amami-kun? Akamatsu-san?”
It was worth a shot, but no luck. They weren’t around. Saihara was upset to think that they were probably having snu-snu as he was in a cold library alone and unarmed.
Saihara: “Wait a minute.”
Saihara got an idea. Maybe one of the books inside the library could help him figure out what’s going on. Unlikely though, since they’re all children’s books. Saihara opened one of the books to find it was scribbled with random blurs and drawings. He couldn’t tell if the red they used to draw with was blood or crayon.
Saihara: “Some kid...”
Reading will have to wait though, since he heard groaning sounds coming from the door at the end of the library. Saihara almost immediately put the book back and hid on the side of the bookshelf in hopes that he wouldn’t be seen. He heard the door slam open and large footsteps walk across the library. Saihara didn’t want to look at where he is, because one risky move could be game over for him.
The footsteps got louder, but eventually started to sound softer as he went past Saihara’s location. Saihara used this opportunity to turn to the other side of the bookshelf to avoid being seen if he was to look back on the library. He stayed down on his feet crouching with his hand on the floor to keep safe.
Once the footsteps stopped, Saihara gulped and made a run for the door. He briefly saw that zombie guy from earlier at the end of the library with his back turned. The door was luckily open meaning Saihara could sneak through without making any noise. And he accomplished to safety. Outside was yet another crooked corridor to explore. Except this time, Saihara was alone.
Kaede: “Amami-kun! Where are you?”
Kaede is tapping her foot rapidly while crossing her arms outside of the previous classroom. He said he’d only take a few minutes.
Kaede: “That’s it.”
Kaede gives in and walks into the classroom to check on Amami. The classroom was a lot darker than the previous ones. She could only barely see her surroundings.
Kaede turned towards the desk and look around to no luck. Maybe it’s because of the lighting, but Amami was nowhere to be seen. She looked around the desk and turned to the board. Her arm being grabbed implied she wasn’t alone.
Saihara could hear familiar cries in the distance, and ran towards them immediately. However, as he went on, he began to feel dizzy. Really dizzy.
He eventually fell to his knees.
Saihara fell directly to the floor like he was passing out. He didn’t understand what was happening to his body. He slowly drifted into a cold sleep.
By the time Saihara came to, he found himself locked onto something. His fist was restrained as well as his ankles. He tried to wriggle around to process his location. It turns out he’s on a bloody operation table.
Saihara: “Not again… Huh?”
Saihara heard rattling coming from his shackles followed by a clicking noise. Saihara stared at his left shackle before pulling his arm through it. Somehow, they unlocked. Saihara brushed off his wrists and ankles for a little and got of the table.
Saihara couldn’t have the time to think however, since he heard someone coming. Saihara had a quick reaction and ran to the closet in the back of the room the moment he saw it. However, he hit the floor after slipping over something on his way.
Saihara: “Hrrgh…! What the…”
Saihara looked back to see a severed tongue skid across the floor behind him.
Saihara couldn’t think about that, however, so he quickly got up and hit in the closet. The door was slightly open, so he could peek at the operation table. Someone, or something, huge entered the room. A sweat drop went down Saihara’s face.
The creature moved forward and placed something onto the operation table. A teenager, from the looks of it. The teenager was bloodied, like if they were injured and taken there. He couldn’t identify them just yet. After a weapon was removed from the teen’s chest, it was tossed to the floor closer to the closet in Saihara’s sight.
It was a bloodied axe. In hopes that didn’t cause the creature to come his direction and notice him, he covered his mouth. On the opposite end of the room, there was another closet. A closet full of weapons.
The creature took the weapons from that closet and started to use them onto the students.
Those gurgled screams were almost instantly recognized by Saihara. If Amami were there, probably instantly. Saihara covered his mouth to avoid screaming as tears flooded his eyes trying to cope with witnessing his blonde piano baka waifu being dismembered before him.
15 students remain
(no, I don't know why it rendered that badly)
Chapter 3: Chapter 2
Perspective on Kaito, Ouma and Maki as well as Tenko, Angie and Gonta.
The following is incredibly rushed to fit a word limit.
The terrified screams of a familiar friend echo throughout the halls and trigger an alarm inside of Kaito Momota’s head.
Before Kaito could turn back and head towards the direction of the scream, he stopped in his tracks due to a warning given from his current travel companion.
Kokichi: “It’s a trap. That wasn’t him.”
Kaito: “How are you so sure?”
Kokichi: “This place wants to lure us with whatever influence it can. They’re using Saihara-chan’s voice to make us go that way. Don’t give them what they want.”
Kaito: “And if he’s really in trouble?”
Kokichi: “He’s not, you moron.”
Kokichi grew a smug grin on his face while crossing his arms expecting another outburst.
Kaito: “The fuck are you calling a moron!? I am Momota Kaito who’s gonna reach space, you know!?”
Kokichi: “Simply breathtaking.”
It doesn’t take much to set off Kaito’s temper, so Kokichi feels he’ll have a fun experience with him.
The two eventually encounter a classroom. It looks rather similar to the other rooms.
Kaito: “Got any interesting in here?”
Kokichi: “Well, we won’t know until we see!”
Kokichi waltz into the room casually, Kaito cautiously following through.
Kaito: “H-Hold on, dumbass! You never know… This place could be dangerous…”
Kokichi: “So? We’re not gonna get anywhere if we don’t d-... Huh?”
Kokichi’s foot knocked into a small glowing object on the floor. A purple crystal.
Kaito: “What’s that?”
Kokichi: “I dunno. Let’s see.”
Kokichi lifted the crystal and stared down to examine it.
Kaito: “Hey, that shit could be contaminated!”
Kokichi: “If we don’t take a look at it, we’re not going to solve anything. It’s not like anyone would care what would happen to me anyway, right?”
Kokichi: “Aww, don’t give the silent treatment.”
Kokichi looked down at the object to examine it further. It didn’t seem to play any effects on his body as of yet and it’s slightly cold, but otherwise harmless.
Kokichi: “...It seems alright!”
Kokichi sheds a bright smile before putting the crystal inside of his pocket.
Kaito: “Alright, but I’m keeping a few meters away from you from now on.”
Kokichi: “Wow, Momota-chan, you really are a scaredy cat.”
Kaito: “What did you say!? Fine, I’ll prove you wrong by never leaving your side!”
Kokichi: “Nishishi… Sure thing.”
Angie: “Anything yet~?”
Angie pokes her head from the side of the classroom door, looking from to the inside to Tenko who was outside the classroom.
Tenko: “There wasn’t anything new since the last ten minutes you asked.”
Angie: “Then it appears that we’ve hit a dead end~.”
Tenko: “D-Don’t sound so happy about that.”
The two were completely lost. They searched all their surrounding classrooms the best they could, but to no luck. They tried secret passage ways, levers and looked through the storage closet. However, there was nothing.
Angie: “I wonder where Himiko is. I hope she’s alright.”
Angie peered over Tenko’s shoulder to see a familiar sight.
Angie: “My~, was that door always there?”
Tenko turned around and her eyes followed to what Angie was staring at. Behind Tenko was a door at the end of the hall, which almost seemed to have come out of nowhere.
Tenko: “Hyaah!? Has… Has that always been there?”
Angie: “Who knows? Let’s go in~.”
Angie skipped past Tenko and towards the door, only for Tenko to grab her arm and prevent her from going further.
Tenko: “W-Wait a second! What if it’s some sort of trap by the supernatural stuff around here?”
Angie: “Hmmm… Angie considered that, but god tells me that it’s safe to go in there as long as we’re careful.”
Tenko: “I don’t trust your god at all.”
Angie looked down to her feet before perking her head back up at Tenko.
Angie: “Ah, if that’s the case… I’ll leave you here alone as I explore the new area~. Take care~.”
Angie immediately ran forward and out of Tenko’s grip with a bright expression exact opposite to Tenko’s.
Tenko: “W-W-Wait! Tenko doesn’t want to be alone! I’ll come too!”
Tenko runs after Angie and they both travel into the door.
Tenko: “H-Hey… It’s dark in here. How about we find something to light up?”
Angie: “It’s fine~. God is telling me the way to go~.”
Tenko: “That just makes things worse.”
It didn’t matter anyway. Despite the two of them barely being able to see, it was an extremely narrow hall they were travelling through. That wouldn’t stop Tenko thinking they were in a maze of some sort. Eventually, the two reached light. A room in particular.
Angie: “It looks like a prison cell of some sort.”
As Angie skipped around exploring, Tenko walked through and observed her surroundings.
Tenko: “Urgh, Tenko knows what this is… It’s one of those dungeons that menaces use to chain up women and do naughty things with them!”
Angie: “...Not really. It looks like a prison cell~.”
Tenko: “What’s the difference?”
It didn’t take long for the both of them to find one of the prison cells were open, and the two walked inside.
Tenko: “Nothing significant in here from the looks of it.”
Angie: “Then you mustn’t be looking hard enough.”
Tenko: “Tenko does wonder where the keys to the other cells are, though. Who makes cells without the ke-”
The sound of a slam quickly came to Tenko’s attention. She turned around to see the cell door shut behind the two girls, with Angie’s hand on the door.
Tenko: “A-Angie-san! What are you doing!?”
Angie: “It’s just a little handslip. You must forgive me.”
That was Angie’s last line of cheerfulness before dropping it completely to a much more sly and seductive tone.
Angie: “However… Maybe it means we’re destined.”
Angie: “God wants us to be together, Tenko~. That’s why he locked us up in here~.”
Tenko: “Y-You locked us in here!”
Tenko got more and more flustered as Angie travelled closer to her at the back of the cell. Her coat was slipping off further and further, until finally…
Angie pounced onto Tenko’s lap, her coat flying off and Tenko dropping down to the floor.
Tenko’s head felt dizzy from both the fall and the current experience he was having. Her screaming was interrupted by a sharp fingertip being placed onto her lips.
Angie: “Sssshh… Don’t say anything. Just relax~.”
Tenko: “I’m… Terrified…”
Angie pressed her thighs against Tenko’s and started to massage her shoulders to calm her down.
Tenko: “Hiieh… Haaah…”
Tenko started to blush. No, more than that. Her eyes began to close weakly, as if she was enjoying her supposed assault. Until…
Gonta: “Uhh… Is Gonta interrupting anything?”
Both of the girls stare at each other wide eyed, before quickly turning their heads to their large fellow friend by the cell, who was holding a pair of keys.
The girls weren’t angry, or sad. They were… Embarrassed, to say the least. Gonta placed the key in the cell and opened it quickly, trying to forget what he had seen.
Kokichi calls out to Kaito the moment he entered the nearby closet.
Kaito: “What is it!?”
Kokichi: “I just learnt that Harukawa-chan’s pregnant with Saihara-chan’s baby!”
Kaito: “Fuck off.”
Kokichi: “Nishishi… Joking aside, I couldn’t find anything. This room is completely empty.”
Kokichi exited the closet with a little grin on his face, despite presenting the disappointing news.
Kaito: “Another useless search then, eh?”
Kaito scratched his head while looking down at his feet. They’ve been looking around for a while, but for nothing. Not a single room has given them any luck or danger, almost like they’ve intentionally been left in an uneventful area. The Saihara scream was the closest they got.
Kokichi: “Guess we should look into the nex-... Huh?”
On his way out the door, Kokichi is stopped in his tracks by a weird, pink worm-like creature wrapping around his ankle. The tentacle that reached out to his leg from the outside of the classroom.
Kokichi: “Huah-... Gah!”
The tentacle pulled onto his ankle and Kokichi almost instantly fell onto his back.
Kaito: “Oi, Ouma! What happened?”
Kokichi: “This thing just-”
Kokichi stopped mid-sentence before realizing he was being dragged by the tentacle. He also realized it was wrapping itself further around his leg until even Kaito could see it.
Kaito: “The hell is that?”
Kokichi: “Get it off of me!”
Kokichi grabbed onto the tentacle to try and pull it off, but it was so slippery and wet his hands kept slipping through it. He gave up on that and grabbed onto the doorway with both hands in an attempt to drag himself back into the classroom.
Kaito: “Hold on, I got you.”
Kaito ran over to Kokichi’s side and grabbed onto his arm trying to pull him back to his side, which Kokichi assisted in my grabbing onto Kaito’s elbows. It worked, the tentacle immediately letting go of Kokichi’s leg and for both Kaito and Kokichi to fly back into their side of the room.
After landing back a little rough, the two got to their feet.
Kaito: “...So what was that in us not being in any danger?”
Kokichi: “Well, at least things have gotten interesting…”
The two of the slowly and cautiously left back to the outside of the room, and followed along the path to figure out where the weird tentacle came from. It wasn’t hard to figure out it was from the exact room next to it.
Kokichi: “I, uh… Think that the last one was just a baby.”
The room had both thick and thin pink squishy tentacles coming from the floor, tearing apart the wood in said floor and wriggling around freely. Kaito was able to block out all background noise just to process the sight.
Kaito: “Ehh… I think it’s fine if we skip this room, right Ouma? ...Huh?”
Kaito looked behind him to notice not even the hallway was safe from those things. Kokichi was quite literally taken from his feet into the air by another tentacle crashing through the hallway floor and wrapping itself around Kokichi’s body and mouth, leaving his legs to kick around in the air.
Kaito: “Not again.”
This wasn’t like the other one, however, this thing was huge and thick, causing Kaito to back away from it. All he could do was keep his distance and watch Kokichi kick and muffle around trying not to get slime jammed into his mouth.
Kaito: “Calm down. I’ll get you down from there.”
Kaito looked around desperately to find anything to use against it.
No luck. There was nothing around that wouldn’t cause Kaito to leave Kokichi behind. Luckily, Kokichi managed to turn his head diagonally to get the tentacle off of his mouth.
Kokichi: “Momota-chan, tear up a floorboard!”
Kokichi: “Just… Try it! Make sure… It’s sharp, okay?”
Kokichi started to struggle. It was no longer a tentacle around the top of his body and one on his mouth, it was starting to entangle around his stomach, ankles and crotch, making it harder for Kokichi to think straight. The tentacle originally covering his mouth now sliding itself across his cheeks didn’t help.
Thinking fast, Kaito kicked into the wooden floorboard below him and pulled with his strength to try and lift it from the floor. He accomplished such and had a thick skewer type of weapon.
Kaito: “Now what?”
Kokichi: “Are you serious!? Obviously, cut me down you numbsku-!? Gah-hah…! Hurry, it’s hurting!”
The tentacle only squeezed harder, Kokichi somehow appearing thinner than he originally was.
Kaito: “Right, right! Hang on.”
Kaito swings the plank to the thinnest part of the tentacle he could reach like a baseball bat. Success! He managed to chop it right off and the tentacle grew limp, followed by Kokichi being dropped, hitting the floor on his side.
Kaito: “Ouma, you alright?”
Kaito walked over towards Kokichi who quickly got up on his hands and knees. Kaito wanted to give him a hand but realized that he was covered in wet slime and his hair was soaked from the tentacle slime.
Kokichi: “Nishishi, looks like you got me all wet, Momota-chan.”
Kaito: “...Let’s get out of here and clean you up. There’s a bathroom nearby with a towel to help you.”
Kokichi got to his feet and the two quickly left the area. However, upon opening the bathroom door, the two encountered a familiar figure who seemed to have gotten the wrong idea between the two of them staring at them awkwardly.
Maki: “Wh-... What were you two…?”
Gonta: “An… Interdimensional ghost school?”
Angie: “That’s right~. Heavenly Host is an abandoned School taken down years ago due to an accident. The school was rebuilt in the afterlife as a ghost school full of the children’s ghosts.”
Tenko, Angie and Gonta were each in a circle as Angie explained what Heavenly Host exactly is.
Angie: “The reason we may not encounter the others is because this School goes through interdimensional warp quite frequently~. We are each scattered into several dimensions showing the same version of the same location~.”
Gonta: “This is… Making Gonta’s brain hurt.”
Tenko: “You and me both. Angie-san, where did you get all this information anyway?”
Angie: “That is classified.”
Tenko: “What do you mean classified!? Are you hiding something from us!?”
Angie: “That is also classified.”
Tenko: “Let Tenko guess, God is telling you not to…?”
Angie: “Bingo~. You got it correct~.”
Tenko: “It was a trick question…”
Angie: “I should also mention that some dimensions can affect others throughout the timeline. Say, like if a floorboard was separated in one dimension, it’d be fragile in another~. If something was unlocked momentarily, it’d also be like that for other dimensions~.
Gonta: “So… Gonta could help his friends if he changes something?”
Angie: “Right~. Speaking of the dimensions, God is notifying Angie of the next switch.”
Tenko: “What!? What does that… Mean?”
Suddenly, the walls started to get shaky. Something wasn’t right. Tenko lost consciousness.
Kaito: “Hey, stop going around touching shit!”
Kaito pulled Kokichi away from the operation table after he unlocked the shackles with an extra hairpin he kept in his pocket.
Maki: “Stop screwing around… And stop making any form of physical contact with each other.”
Kaito: “I already told you, it’s not like that!”
Kokichi: “He’s lying to you, Harukawa-chan. We got reeeeeeeaall down and dirty in the- Ack!”
Kaito punched Kokichi in the stomach to send him groaning on the floor.
Kaito: “He’s just screwing around! Why do you think he was the only one who was wet!?”
Kaito: “...Did I word that wrong?”
Kokichi: “Momota-chan, you’re so mean…! I guess that’s a trait of a typical tsun-doo-r-!”
Kaito: “I’ll hit you again if you don’t shut your mouth!”
The awkward exchange was interrupted by the strange operation room started to blur.
Maki’s head started to ache. Their dimension was changing.
Angie returned to her original location. The place she and Gonta were attacked. Tenko appears to have been sent to another dimension, while Angie and Gonta moved dimensions together… However, not to a friendly face.
Angie stare at the large pieces of flesh that lay on the floor.
???: “So you abandoned him after all.”
Angie turned to see a familiar figure walk towards her.
Korekiyo: “You cared too much for your own life to give the poor fellow a hand, didn’t you?”
Korekiyo stares at the flesh pile which both he and Angie seem to recognize too well.
Korekiyo: “After you left him behind, I saw the whole thing, you know. That man was not gentle. He was swinging his hammer all over his pleading and crying face. He did so until he was just a mere pile of mush.”
Angie: “...God says it’s better for at least one life to make it out instead of risking both of said lives.”
Korekiyo: “Stop speaking about this God of yours.”
Korekiyo grabbed Angie by her arm and whispered in her ear.
Korekiyo: “Even you know he’s not real…”
Korekiyo let go of Angie and strolled away, leaving her behind.
Angie: “Hey, wait! …! Ack-!”
Angie ended up with a sudden surprise.
Maki: “You alright, Momota?”
Maki got to her feet after their last travel.
Kokichi: “Yeah, I’m fine too.”
As Kokichi and Kaito got to their feet, they looked at their new surroundings.
Kokichi: “Where… Are we?”
Kaito: “It looks a factory of some sort. The rest of this place is wooden and shit, while there’s metal all around here.”
Maki: “Could it perhaps be a boiler room?”
Kokichi: “We won’t know unless we look around!”
Kaito: “Last time we looked around, you got slimed on by some sort of octopus.”
Kokichi walked over to the strange fluid drains alongside the walls, seemingly containing a type of gas. The room wasn’t very big so he wasn’t straying too far from the other two.
Kokichi: “Oh, come on, what’s the worst that could happen?”
Suddenly, one of the drains popped open and sprayed him with some sort of gas.
Kaito: “That could…”
More drains started to pop open spreading the room with the gas. Maki and Kaito immediately held their breaths. Kokichi believed it was pointless to do so since he just inhaled too much into his body and just walked back over to Kaito’s side, seemingly feeling tired.
Kokichi: “Of course… It was a… Trap…”
Kokichi dropped quickly into a peaceful sleep, only for Kaito to quickly catch him before he fell to the floor, causing him to breath in some of the fumes.
Kaito: “Hey, watch where you’re…”
Eventually, Kaito fell to the side quickly too, still holding Kokichi in his arms. This caused the two to fall onto the floor asleep, Maki watching their positions look like they’re sleeping together. Not helping was Maki being quick to notice Kokichi somehow managed to get his hand up Kaito’s shirt.
Maki: “Hii… Haaaah…!”
Unfortunately, the stress of their position caused Maki to hyperventilate and breath in some of the gas, which had her follow after the boys.
Tsumugi: “...Such a shame.”
Mugi stares at her latest victim with a disappointed expression.
Tsumugi: “You had potential and knew a lot of information about this place, but you don’t cut out for this.”
She pulled the knife from Angie’s torso slowly and abandoned the area leaving her corpse lying there.

Saihara sway across the School halls. He placed one hand on the wall beside him and one on his stomach. He struggled to keep moving forward. He felt sick. Very sick. Kaede was dead. Amami was missing. He was all alone.
...Or so he thought.
Korekiyo: “Kukuku… I have finally found you, Saihara-kun.”
Saihara: “Shinguuji-kun! Oh, thank god. You’re not hurt.”
Saihara ignored the pain he was feeling and ran right up to him.
Saihara: “Did you find anybody else?”
Korekiyo: “I’m afraid I have not. However… Angie.”
Korekiyo: “I… I was not able to save her…”
Saihara: “Oh no…”
Korekiyo: “*cries in Kukuku*”
Tenko woke up in a strange dark room. Angie and Gonta were nowhere to be found. In fact, she didn’t see anybody. She was all alone.
Tenko immediately got to her feet and looked around, her right hand lifted towards her cheek out of worry.
Tenko: “What is this pl-!?”
Whilst walking backwards, Tenko was cut off from being grabbed from behind and dragged back through a weird trap entrance from the wall. She initially panicked until she heard a familiar voice.
Kirumi: “Chabashira-san, you are you alright?”
Once Kirumi unhanded Tenko, a bright smile appeared on the both of their faces only for Tenko to give a huge hug to her in return.
Tenko: “I’m so glad to see you!”
Kirumi: “And we’re glad to see you.”
Tenko released Kirumi to see a familiar short figure before them.
Ryoma: “We’ve been looking around for the others. We’ve heard voices but no matter how far we go, we just can’t reach them.”
Kirumi: “Yes, we’ve heard many voices but never actually reached them, no matter how nearby they come.”
Upon the mention, Tenko remembered Angie’s words.
Tenko: “I… I think it’s because of the other dimensions.”
Ryoma: “The what?”
Tenko: “Just let me explain…”
The voices brought Kaito back to the real world.
Eventually, the blur and echoes began to fade into the clear and he could finally hear Maki properly.
Fully awake, Kaito gets to his knees and stares Maki in the eye, who’s leaned down presumably to help him wake up.
Maki: “You’re finally awake.”
Kaito examined his surroundings. A brick wall, a chained bar door and not much more. It appeared to be a cell. And then he remembered.
Kaito: “That’s it. That weird smoke took us out, huh.”
Maki: “Unfortunately, I didn’t wake up much earlier so I don’t know how we got here.”
Kaito: “I see. Are you hurt? Where’s Ouma?”
Maki: “I’m fine, and he’s over there.”
Kaito looked over his shoulder to see Kokichi peacefully sleeping on his side like a peaceful child.
Maki: “He should be waking soon. Either that, or he’s faking being asleep right now.”
Maki stared at Kokichi’s body and then back at Kaito.
Maki: “...At the very least, it’s a good thing I woke up first.”
Kaito restrained himself from talking further and got to his feet. Maki followed. The two of them went towards the bars and looked at the chains. They were bound by a lock.
Maki: “...Great. We’re locked in.”
After Maki gave the chains a little tug, she walked over around the room’s walls to find an exit or switch of some kind. While she was searching, Kaito found what they needed across the other side of the room.
Kaito: “Hey, the keys!”
Maki: “That’s nice. How are we going to reach it?”
???: “No need to.”
The two were startled by a familiar figure grabbing the keys and twirling them around his finger.
Kaito: “Amami! Great to see ya, can you let us out.”
Amami: “...But why would I do that if I’m the one who put you inssu?”
The chains shake once again as soon as Kaito grabs onto the cellar bars.
Kaito: “Amami, what are you planning at!?”
Amami: “Hm? Well, you three are usually seen around Saihara-kun, nossu?”
Upon the mention of Saihara’s name, the two stepped back.
Maki: “Amami... “
Kaito: “Hey, what have you done with Shuichi?”
Amami: “Oh, it’s not what I’ve done to himssu. It’s what I’m going to do to him.”
The two turned around to see Kokichi woken and on his knees staring at Amami.
Kokichi “Wh… What are you going to do with Saihara-chan?”
Kokichi’s stunned expression eventually turned to one of sadness like if he was about to start crying any moment.
Amami: “Well, with you three out of the way, I can finally go looking for himssu.”
As Amami walked away exiting the room, Maki covered her ears preparing for Kokichi’s water works.
Kaito almost fell over from how startled he was. And it didn’t stop. Kokichi kept going. He kept crying while slowly getting up, walking in between Maki and Kaito and in front of the chain shackles. Still crying, he reaches and takes a hairpin out of his hair and uses it to unlock the lock on the chains. Still crying, he untangles the chains and pushes open the cellar door. Usually, it’d make a lot of noise, but Kokichi’s crying blocked all noise from the room.
Kokichi: “AHHHH- Ack-!”
Maki: “You don’t have to do it anymore.”
Maki says, lifting Kokichi up from his feet by the neck once again.
Maki rudely releases her hand and drops him. Kokichi luckily lands on his feet.
Maki: “With that out of the way, what’s up with Amami? Why does he want to keep us away from Saihara? What about Akamatsu? ...Hmm?”
Maki fails to get an answer from the figure she’s talking to.
Kokichi: “Well, it seems he’s giving you the silent treatment.”
Maki: “Oh, shut up.”
Maki eventually realizes Kaito’s head is buzzing too loudly for him to hear her after Kokichi’s crying. In order to get him back to reality, she claps her hands next to his ears.
Kaito: “-Huh!? It stopped!”
Maki: “You’re back to earth. Let’s get out of here.”
Heavy panting echo across the bathroom halls.
Miu: “Do you need… Another one?”
Kiibo: “Th-That’s fine… I think we should… Be good now.”
Miu hopped her breasts away from Kiibo’s chest and gave him some space.
Miu: “Do you like it?”
Kiibo pointed his finger forward and it fired a mini lazer from the tip, making a hole in the wall it hit.
Kiibo: “It is a great upgrade. Thank you, Iruma-san.”
Miu: “Except nothing less from the Inventor genius herself!”
Kiibo: “This should prove useful outside. We may even find new areas.”
Miu: “Right. Let’s go around shooting holes in the wall!”
Kiibo: “That’s a… Direct way of putting it.”
The two explore the outside of the bathroom halls and into the corridors, Miu holding onto Kiibo’s arm panicking. However, neither of them knew where they could test out Kiibo’s new upgrade.
Until they heard footsteps…
Kiibo: “Iruma-san, get behind me!”
Miu backed behind Kiibo who turned and pointed his finger towards the figure before them, ready to fire.
Saihara: “Woah! Is… Is everything alright?”
Saihara and Korekiyo backed away at alarm. Kiibo lowered his position.
Kiibo: “Ah, it’s just you two.”
Miu: “You assholes better apologise for scaring me like that!”
Saihara: “Right, sorry…”
Korekiyo: “I have nothing to apologise for. All we did was walk in on you.”
Miu: “You dare putting your sorry ass in the presence of the great Iruma is a sin by itself!”
Korekiyo: “Right. Our apologies.”
Kiibo: “On the bright side, I’m glad we could reunite with someone else once again. Have you two encountered anybody else as of yet?”
Saihara: “Well… I was with Amami-kun and Akamatsu-san, but…”
Korekiyo: “Akamatsu-san was murdered, Amami-kun has gone missing and I myself encountered Angie-san, who was also lost. There’s also Gonta who’s… Remains I found.”
Kiibo: “O… Oh…”
Miu: “Well, thankfully, we only lost a bunch of morons so far!”
The three boys annoyingly glance at Miu, but remain silent.
Kirumi: “I see… And you got this from Angie-san, correct?”
Tenko: “That’s right.”
Ryoma: “...The exact same person who wanted to perform the ritual in the first place.”
Tenko’s body shivered and both she and Kirumi glanced over to Ryoma.
Tenko: “That… That’s right.”
Ryoma: “I don’t necessarily think she wanted us here, but I suspect she knows more about that ritual that she’s letting on.”
Kirumi: “I think such too.”
Tenko looked down at the floor and back at the two.
Tenko: “Unfortunately… I think you’re right.”
Tenko then placed her hand on her chest and looked up proudly.
Tenko: “We need to find her!”
Kirumi gave a kind smile and the three strolled down the halls further. Unfortunately, the grounds started to shake again. Kirumi and Ryoma stood still as Tenko grabbed onto the wall for safety.
Kirumi: “Another shift?”
Ryoma: “Toujou, move!”
The small figure pressed his arms against Kirumi’s back and she stumbled to the wall Tenko was holding onto. The both of them looked up to see a horrific sight. Ryoma’s arm sled across to Kirumi’s feet bloodied and tattered. They looked away from the arm to see a strange creature holding Ryoma by the arm still intact.
Kirumi started to recognize the creature resembled a human more than anything. Like a zombie. They had no time to think. Ryoma was in grip with an arm sliced off, the ground was shaking and the floorboards throughout the hall were snapping apart making gaps in the floor ranging from huge to small.
After staring into the eyes of the zombie-like creature, Kirumi decided to stand back up and face towards the creature, only to blackout.
The three weren’t alone. The ground shook with Saihara’s group, as well, Miu even being caused to fall over.
The same was for Kaito’s group. Another shift was happening.
By the time Kirumi awoke, it seemed like she was in a different location altogether. But she was happy that she still had her fellow classmate by her side.
Kirumi: “Chabashira-san, you’re alright. I’m glad.”
Their relief soon turned to dread.
Tenko: “Wh… Where’s Hoshi-san?”
Kirumi looked around to see Ryoma and the creature were gone. Suddenly, Tenko’s phone started buzzing.
Kirumi took the phone from Tenko in case it was something dangerous, and answered. Her suspicions were correct. Her eyes widened and she tried to keep the phone volume as low as possible. However, Tenko could still briefly hear the noises of screams in agony and bones splitting apart. Kirumi hung up as soon as she could.
Tenko grabbed the phone from Kirumi and smashed it onto the floor before covering her mouth.
Tenko: “I… I don’t want that…!”
Tenko: “Is… Is that going to happen to me? Is it… Going to happen to Yumeno-san?”
Kirumi remained silent, but leaned towards Tenko.
And held her into a warm and gentle embrace. It’s all she could have done.
Tenko: “T… Toujou-san…”
All Tenko could do was hug back.
Kirumi’s eyes widen once again from what Tenko whispered into Kirumi’s ear.
Kirumi: “Is… that a request?”
The trio got up once again. However, the location didn’t seem much different.
Kaito: “Another one…”
Kokichi: “Hmm, do you think Amami-chan is still with us?”
Kaito: “I’m not sure but if there’s one thing for certain, I’m not letting him get to Shuichi before us.”
Korekiyo awakens once again, with the two boys out of sight. For that reason, he hopes he is alone. Unfortunately, his dreams are shattered.
Miu: “H-Hey, don’t leave me alone you creep!”
Korekiyo: “Oh god no…”
Kiibo came back to his senses to see he was still with Saihara.
Saihara opened his eyes.
Saihara: “Ah, good morning.”
Kiibo was surprised by something in Saihara’s lap. Saihara looked down at his lap only for his expression to match Kiibo’s.
Yumeno was sleeping soundly in Saihara’s lap like a little hamster.
A hand drops limply to the floor as Kirumi held Tenko’s body nicely. Kirumi placed the pills to the floor and lay Tenko down to rest in peace. Even someone as selfless as Tenko couldn’t handle the pressure, and Kirumi had to follow her request. Before Kirumi leaves the room to explore further, she sheds a single silent tear.
Amami walks down the halls to see a familiar female figure staring right at the end of the hallway innocently.
Tsumugi: “There you are, Amami-kun.”
Amami closes his eyes and steps forward…

Yes, I did kind of rush this out to get it out on Halloween which it is in my country, Australia. With that, Happy Halloween everyone. Funny enough, Halloween is a day before my birthday.
Chapter 5: Chapter 4
A lot of plot details of what's going on and how this world works.
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Saihara rose up quickly out of panic, but tried not to toss his friend off of his lap. Unfortunately, he didn’t manage to keep her asleep.
Himiko: “Nyeh…? Saihara?”
Himiko rubs her eyes a little before getting up from his lap and standing on her own two feet staring down at Saihara and Kiibo awkwardly. This prompts the other two to stand as well.
Saihara: “How did you…?”
Himiko: “How did I what?”
Saihara stared at the duck lipped mage’s buggy eyes and gave a deep sigh.
Kiibo: “It appears we’re at a new location. Shinguuji-kun and Iruma-san are nowhere to be seen.”
Saihara: “And now Yumeno-san’s here.”
Himiko: “I’ve been moved around a few times… But I’ve never found anyone. Mainly because I haven’t been bothered to move or look around.”
Saihara: “Staying in the same place is dangerous!”
Kiibo: “That’s right. From now on, you’re going to have to get moving alongside us to find the others.”
Himiko: “...What a pain…”
The three ventured outside of the classmate they were currently inside.
Kaito: “Shuichi! Shuichi!”
Kokichi: “Yeah, screech out and attract attention. That’ll totally get Saihara-chan’s attention and totally not a murderer, monster or worse.”
Maki: “It blocks out your voice so I’ll accept it.”
Kokichi: “Ahaha, hitting it right where it hurts!”
The three continued to occasionally bicker as they explore the halls looking for Saihara. Unfortunately, they barely encountered anything so far. It almost seemed like the hallway was endless.
Maki: "Huh? What's this?"
The trio walked up to the glowing blue sphere at the end of the hallway. It was attached to a golden stand and was taller than both Maki and Kokichi. There was a golden keyhole with a key inside right on the front.
Kokichi: "Only one way to find out."
Kaito: "No, wait, don't-"
Before Kaito could stop him, Kokichi turned the key inside of the keyhole causing a loud buzzing sound to echo across the room. The three backed away from the orb and checked their surrounding. A peculiar sight unfolded.
The trio’s vision became pixelated and an entirely different room unfolded around them. And by entirely different, it looked like nothing that could even be inside of the school. It was a large computer room with shiny blue floors and walls like it fit a futuristic setting with cabinets on the left and right corners of the room. All of which were unable to be opened as Kokichi checked. In the middle of the room is a large desktop keyboard in front of the large screen on the back of the wall. It was definitely something important.
Maki: “A motherboard, perhaps?”
Maki walked towards the desktop and clicked on the start button. A password requirement showed up.
Kaito: “Welp, we’re screwed… Huh?”
Before they knew it, a certain someone was already typing away rapidly on the keys.
Kokichi: “Start with the S… Carry the two… And…”
After mumbling to himself, Kokichi pressed the enter button and…
Before they could ask Kokichi what happened, the screen lit up to show some sort of arrangement of folders. The subjects being…
Kaito: “The… Project?”
Kokichi: “Hold on, let’s check through the targets folder first.”
Kokichi scrolled down to the second folder and clicked to look inside.
“Class 1-7: 16 students;all killed”
“Class 2-2: 14 students;all killed”
The system went through a compilation of classes with information of the student count, class names and death counts on the left and portraits of each student on the right, all redded out.
Kaito: “The hell is this…?”
Maki: “If I had to guess, these are the previous classes to end up in this place.”
Kokichi: “And none of them were able to make it out alive, huh?”
The list kept going through classes until it reached it’s latest cast.
“Class 3-5: 16 students;5 killed”
Kaito: “Five? Already?”
They turned their heads to the student portraits that were faded in red.
Maki: “Chabashira, Angie, Hoshi…”
Kokichi: “...Gonta, Akamatsu-chan.”
Kaito: “Wait, Akamatsu’s dead!?”
Kokichi: “Appears such.”
Kaito: “N-No way…!”
Maki stared at the screen before turning.
Maki: “Ouma, are you able to click on specific profiles of the students?”
Kokichi messed with the controls a little and eventually managed to get a scan on Kaede’s portrait. Doing so accessed a map to Kaede’s current location. The result was not pleasant.
Kaito: “Oh god…! That violently…?”
Maki: “Ouma, check the others.”
Scrolling through, Kokichi hovered over to the several profiles to find Angie’s stab wound, Gonta’s jumbled remains, Ryoma’s beaten body missing an arm and Tenko’s overdose. Kaito placed his hands over his mouth.
Kaito: “Those aren’t…”
Maki: “It sure is. And we’re next if we’re not careful.”
Kaito: “Wait, what about Shuichi?”
Maki: “Ouma, try a living student… Ouma?”
Kokichi was silently looking down at the control panel hiding his expression.
Maki: “...I’ll do it.”
Maki gave Kokichi a little push to the side which brought him back to his senses and took over, scrolling towards Saihara’s profile. It was a success.
Kaito: “Shuichi! He’s alright!”
Kokichi: “And he’s with Yumeno-chan and Kiiboy too.”
Maki scrolled through the other profiles to find their locations. Kirumi was alone but unharmed. Korekiyo was alone, sitting in the corner, blocking his ears from something annoying him.
Kokichi: “What’s up with him?”
Kaito: “Who knows? Probably thinking of gay shit like necromancy.”
Kokichi cocked his head to Kaito’s direction with an expression that can only be described as confused.
Maki continued to search through the profiles, until Mugi’s and Amami’s had a unique close. They were both just static screens, locations unknown.
Kaito: “What the…?”
Kokichi: “Why are Shirogane-chan and Amami-chan blocked out?”
Maki: “Remember when Amami put us to sleep and locked us up? He said he wanted something with Saihara.”
Kaito: “So you’re saying he’s blocked off from the cameras because he’s planning something?”
Kokichi: “...How about we check that last folder?”
Kokichi’s usually smiling and devilish expression dimmed down into a more cold and cynical one folding his arms. Maki went over to the final folder only for a long document to be revealed. As she scrolled down Kokichi read it out loud while the other two stared blankly at the screen.
Kokichi: “The plan of Heavenly Host elementary’s hauntings: Every arrival of a class results in two seekers. One has to find the student with an AB blood type and use them as a vessel. The other has the find the student with an AB blood type and keep them from the other seeker. If the first seeker finds the student first and uses him as a vessel, the children’s ghost haunting the school will be unleashed into the outside world. In order to prevent this, either all students must be killed or the seekers have to be killed. An alternative option is one of the seekers being killed and the student of the AB blood type also being killed. Why does this happen? I don’t know. It’s just spooky shit.”
Kaito: “For a moment, I didn’t know if you were reading the notice or expressing thought at the end.”
Maki: “So… Is that why Shirogane and Amami’s profiles are offline? Are they the seekers?”
Kokichi: “Considering Amami-chan locked us in a cage, I’m going to say yes.”
Kaito then came to the realization.
Kaito: “Shuichi’s blood type is AB, right?”
Kokichi: “Yep, along with Iruma-chan.”
Kaito: “So they’re going after those two!?”
Kokichi: “No, just Saihara-chan.”
Kaito: “What? Why just him?”
Kokichi: “Because do you really expect someone would have the time and patience in their lives to chase down and lay their hands on that skank?”
Nobody wanted to respond to Kokichi’s foul comment.
Maki: “But wait, it says only one of the seekers has to use them as a vessel. The other has to protect the vessel. The question is which one is which.”
Kaito: “Are you kidding? It’s obviously Amami. Why else would he keep up locked up so we couldn’t interfere?”
Kokichi: “Or maybe…”
Kokichi placed his finger over his devilish smile.
Kokichi: “He wanted to use us as bait to distract Shirogane-chan.”
Kokichi: “Amami-chan isn’t very sociable compared to other classmates, so sacrificing them should be a piece of cake. I theorize that Amami-chan locked us up so Shirogane-chan would spend more time taking the opportunity to eliminate us rather than focus on Saihara-chan’s location.”
Kaito: “Amami… Really was a mysterious dude.”
Maki: “I guess we’ll have to stay aware of both of them then. Either Amami is after Saihara to use him as a vessel, or he’s willing to use anyone or anything as a distraction for Shirogane.”
Kaito: “Uhh, by the way, I know she’s probably not going to be used as a vessel due to… What Ouma said, but shouldn’t we check up on Iruma?”
Maki turned from the folder and into the second. Inside, she clicked on Miu’s folder to find a strange report on her location. Miu was running from something, looking quite panicked.
Kaito: “Hey, is she…?”
Maki exited from the folder and turned the system off.
Maki: “Guess we gotta help her.”
Kokichi: “Awww, do we really?”
Kaito: “Yes! No classmate left behind!”
The three exited the room and went back to the crooked and dusty wooden hallways of the school.
Kaito: “Oh, Ouma. Before we leave, we should take that key with us.”
Kokichi: “Ah, right.”
Kokichi removed the key and held it with him before they left looking for Miu.
Saihara and Kiibo stopped and waiting for the mage to calm herself down. It seems she was bothered by something.
Kiibo: “What is it, Yumeno-san?”
Yumeno: “I’m sensing an obstacle up ahead…”
Saihara: “An… Obstacle?”
The three looked ahead into the dark corridor and venture forth to see if Yumeno’s suspicion was correct. It was. They eventually found a long wooden bridge held by rope to help get across the huge hole in the floor. Said bridge didn’t look very stable and also looked incredibly easy to swing from side to side.
Kiibo: “This looks bad.”
Yumeno: “Should we go across?”
Saihara looked down upon the bridge and then looked straight forward.
Saihara: “We’ve got no choice.”
Going first, Saihara carefully placed his foot onto the bridge. After letting it creak, he decided to slowly and carefully tread across the bridge. He made it to other side safely.
Saihara: “Are you guys able to do it?”
Kiibo: “Yumeno-san weighs less than both of us so she should go next.”
Yumeno nodded at Kiibo and proceeded to carefully tread along the bridge, trying her best to block out the wobbles and creaks coming from the bridge. She also made it across safely. Saihara holding Yumeno’s hand on the last few steps in case it suddenly collapsed. Thankfully, it didn’t.
The two looked back at Kiibo.
Saihara: “Are… Are you able to make it across?”
Kiibo: “I’m… Not sure.”
Kiibo looked down at the black abyss below him and then looked back to his two friends on the other side.
Kiibo: “I’ll try but I don’t think I’m going to-”
The moment Kiibo took a step, the bridge collapsed.
The bridge’s rope snapped on Kiibo’s side causing him to try and grab onto the bridge to swing to the other side. He succeeded and was dangling from the bridge. His hands were beginning to slip.
Kiibo’s hand slipped only for a delicate girl’s hand to grab his wrist. He looked up to see Saihara hoisted Yumeno further down to grab Kiibo in time before he fell.
Kiibo: “Saihara-kun! Yumeno-san! You saved me!”
Yumeno: “Nyeh. Are you okay?”
Saihara pulled Yumeno and Kiibo up back to the surface.
Saihara: “That… Was close.”
Kiibo: “Most definitely.”
The three looked up upon their search to see Miu was on the indoor balcony above them. This gave them a better look of Miu.
Kaito: “Oi, Iruma! Are you alright?”
Miu looked down with tears in her eyes and her hair shriveled up.
Miu: “I’m scared…! I don’t like this!”
Kokichi: “What’s chasing you!?”
Miu: “It was… It was a…”
Maki and Kokichi turned to where Kaito was looking to see a little ghost girl sitting in the corner smiling at them. The two were a little startled but they were calmer than Kaito, who was trembling behind Maki grabbing onto her shoulders. Maki herself was trying to stay dignified and hide her blush.
Miu: “It’s down there!”
Kokichi: “We can see that you fucking moron!”
After insulting Miu some more to keep her occupied, Kokichi looked back at the ghost.
Kokichi: “I don’t think it’s going to hurt us if we keep our distance.”
Maki: “Are you sure?”
Kokichi: “Or rather… It can’t hurt us from this distance.”
The two turned around to see a certain someone was no longer around. They then hear a familiar voice echoing through the slammed open exit door.
Kaito: “Fine by me! I’ll my distance as much as possible!”
The two sighed and followed after him. It didn’t take long for them to find him sulking in the corner.
Kokichi: “You keep saying we should stick together, yet here you are running off?”
Maki: “Momota, get up.”
Kaito: “I’m not leaving!”
The two stood pondering to themselves about what to do with him. They then stared at each other with a smug grin on their face. For once, Maki and Kokichi were going to agree on a plan.
Kokichi: “Alrighty then.”
Kokichi and Maki waved and slowly began walking away.
Kokichi: “Guess we’ll just leave you all alone for the ghosts to get you.”
It didn’t take long for Kaito to snap.
Kaito: “W-W-Wait, don’t leave me!”
Kaito immediately ran up to the two and hugged them out of fear.
Maki wasn’t comfortable with being pressed up against Kokichi or being hugged.
Miu: “No! Get away from me!”
The hug was interrupted by the person they accidentally left behind.
After a screech, a loud thud came from the room behind them.
They walked up the door following by Kokichi slightly opening it to take a quick peek inside. The peek wasn’t very long considering he immediately shut the door behind him and started breathing heavily.
Kokichi: “Yeah, you don’t need to see this.”
Maki pushed Kokichi aside and opened the doors entirely for them all to see. Image was not pleasant. The room was covered in splattered flesh and meats.
Kaito: “That’s not-”
Maki: “It is.”
Kaito started to feel light-headed. He couldn’t take any more of this.
Kokichi: “...We better find Saihara-chan.”
Maki: “Right. Let’s get moving.”
Kirumi walked down the corridors to find a certain someone slouching by the door.
Korekiyo: “Just ignore and she’ll leave, just ignore and she’ll leave, just ignore and she’ll leave…”
Kirumi: “What the…?”
Kirumi bent down to the trembling folklorist and poked his forehead.
Korekiyo looked up to see the elegant maid he’s been longing for the whole time finally blessing him with her presence.
Korekiyo: “Toujou-san! Save me from this madwoman!”
Korekiyo grabbed onto Kirumi’s arm, her expression surprised to say the least. She’s never seen Korekiyo so… Scared.
Korekiyo: “Yes! The one that-... Isn’t here anymore.”
Korekiyo’s arms dropped and looked around to see Miu was no longer around.
Korekiyo: “...Well, this is awkward.”
Saihara and the others turned to see a familiar friend skip over to them with a worried expression.
Saihara: “Shirogane-san! You’re okay!”
Mugi came to a halt and looked upon her friends.
Mugi: “I was so worried that I wouldn’t find anyone!”
Yumeno and Kiibo looked closely at Mugi’s palm.
Saihara: “It’s alright. You were just-”
Saihara lent out a hand to help Mugi catch breath only for a red flash to come between them. Yumeno grabbed onto both of their arms and stopped their hands from meeting. This caused Saihara to see the mini taser in her hand.
Saihara: “Shiro… gane… san?”
Saihara and the others turned to see Maki, Kokichi and Kaito run in at the right moment.
Maki: “We’re not entirely sure yet but Shirogane isn’t to be trusted.”
Everyone turned to see another figure arrive from the opposite end. Amami.
Amami: “Shirogane-san is planning to use you as a vessel for the plan of this schoolssu.”
Saihara: “Huh? What plan!?”
Kokichi: “So, is Amami-chan the one who needs to keep Saihara-chan away from the other seeker?”
Amami: “It seems you guys are awaressu. Yes, that’s right. Me and Shirogane-san were selected. In fact, if I wanted to, I could just kill Shirogane-san and Saihara-kun right here and save us allssu.”
Kaito: “Hey, to save us or not, I’m not letting you lay a finger on Shuichi!”
Kiibo: “Hold on, I’m confused. What’s going on!?”
At the corner of Saihara’s eye, he saw a shine in between Yumeno and Mugi.
Yumeno let go of Saihara and Mugi’s grip and stepped back a little until everyone saw the knife that Mugi lodged into her gut.
The vision started to fade once more. Out of all the times, why now a shift? It all faded to black for everyone.
Saihara came back up hacking up breath in order to recover. He looked around to see that Maki, Kaito and Kokichi were still with him. Kiibo, Mugi, Amami and the wounded Yumeno were missing though. However, that wasn’t the only thing that changed.
Kaito: “What the hell…?”
The entire area was designed like the computer room. The walls and floors were all blue. It was like a fixed and futuristic version of the school.
Saihara: “The entire area changed.”
Maki: “How pretty this place is isn’t the issue right now. The issue is what’s going on.”
Kaito: “Right, so Shirogane’s after Shuichi and Amami’s the one who need to keep Shuichi away from her or kill Shuichi.”
Kokichi: “I wouldn’t say that. Amami-chan could have lied and Shirogane-chan might have been playing along with it.”
Maki: “Did it seem like a lie to you?”
Kokichi: “It didn’t.”
Saihara: “Um… Excuse me.”
The three turned to Saihara.
Saihara: “What the hell is going on?”
Kiibo came to his senses to see Amami standing right in front of him.
Kiibo: “...I’d like an explanation for what’s going on.”
Amami: “You’re going to need to sit down for this onessu.”
Kirumi and Korekiyo’s positions didn’t change at all.
Korekiyo: “I see… So you too, lost some dear classmates.”
Kirumi: “I really didn’t want to assist Chabashira-san but… It was her request.”
Korekiyo: “I understand. You did the right thing.”
Kirumi: “You think so?”
Korekiyo: “I know so.”
Korekiyo placed his hands on Kirumi’s shoulders.
Korekiyo: “You’re a wonderful person.”
Korekiyo: “...Now can you be an admirable-”
Kirumi: “No, I’m not going to see your sister.”
Korekiyo dropped his arms from his shoulders and looked down at his feet sadly.
Kaito: “And for the short version: We need to stop Shirogane to save everyone!”
Saihara: “I see. So you’re saying that two seekers need to die?”
Kokichi: “Well, there’s the alternative option to kill one of the seekers and kill the target but…”
Kokichi stared at Saihara before proceeding to give him a hug with fake tears.
Kokichi: “I don’t want to lose Saihara-chan!!”
Saihara: “Please get off of me.”
Kokichi gave Saihara the space he needed.
Maki: “But what about Iruma?”
Kokichi: “That bitch is too irrelevant to count.”
Maki: “That makes no se-”
Saihara: “So what should we do now? Just wait for Shirogane to approach us?”
Kaito: “Nope! We go out looking for her!”
Kokichi: “Right, and she totally won’t kill us before we can get to her.”
Kaito: “Need I remind you we have the Ultimate assassin in our group?”
Kokichi: “Need I remind you is that we know nothing about what Shirogane-chan is capable of, nor do we have a clue what skills being chosen as a seeker gives her?”
Saihara: “I’m with Ouma-kun on this one. We should try to learn more about her before facing her.”
Maki: “On the other hand, if we do that, we’ll be risking Shirogane taking more lives. Maybe even Amami taking more lives.”
Kokichi: “Won’t we lose more lives if we face her head on? Actually, if we die, she’ll be able to get her hands on Saihara-chan easily and the entire earth will be at stake.”
Maki: “You bring up a good point.”
Kaito: “I’ll tell ya what we should do. We should do both.”
Kaito: “We should split up for a while. Some of us trying to avoid Shirogane and some of us trying to face her.”
Kokichi: “That’s a terrible idea.”
Kaito: “You’re only saying that because I suggested it.”
Kokichi: “That’s half of why I’m saying that.”
Saihara: “It’s stupid, but maybe it could work if you group the right people. Harukawa-san to face Shirogane-san while I’m brought to safety to study her more.”
Kokichi: “More so Harukawa-chan has to hold Shirogane-chan off for a while, right?”
Saihara: “That’s right. Are you okay with that, Harukawa-san?”
Maki let out a sigh.
Kaito: “That’s my Harumaki!”
Kaito rubbed his hand onto Maki’s head gently.
Kaito: “Let’s get started!”
Kokichi: “We… Are gonna die.”
Kiibo: “So Saihara-kun’s in danger!?”
Amami: “Yes, and I either have to kill him or kill myself after I’m done with Shirogane-sanssu.”
Kiibo and Amami were walking over to the location of the computer room only to see the orb had it’s key removed.
Amami: “They didn’t…”
Kiibo: “Hm? Is something wrong?”
Amami: “Someone took the way to get into the systemssu.”
“That would have been us.”
The two looked over to see Maki and Kaito approach the two.
Amami: “You have the keyssu? Give it right now.”
Kaito: “We don’t have the key. Ouma does.”
Amami: “...And where is Ouma?”
Maki: “We split up thanks to Momota’s idea. Ouma and Saihara are together with the key.”
Amami’s eyes widened in horror, which eventually turned into rage
Amami: “You… Moron.”
Kiibo: “Amami-kun, calm down.”
Amami: “That key has a tracking device on it. Shirogane-san know where Ouma-kun is. Now you’re telling me you left him alone with Saihara-kun?”
Everyone stared blankly at Amami realizing their mistake.
Kaito: “Well, we only just split up so they couldn’t have gone far, right?”
It didn’t take long for the two to get so far.
Kokichi: “This is an awful idea.”
Saihara: “Could you stop saying that? I didn’t exactly trust it either, but… It’s Momota-kun. I can’t just defy it and not give it a chance.”
Kokichi: “Of course it’s about Momota-chan…”
Saihara pretended to not hear Kokichi mumbling under his breath. Instead, they had more pressing issues standing right in front of them.
Mugi: “Hello boys!”
Kokichi: “Oh no…”
The two slowly walked back as Mugi started to walk towards them one step at a time, with the same plastic smile.
Saihara: “Ouma-kun… We need to get out of here.”
Kokichi: “Yeah, no shit sherlock.”
Mugi: “You know I can hear everything you’re saying, right? I’m not a robot of any kinda, am I? Why don’t you boys give up and I’ll try not to kill either of you after using Saihara-kun.”
Saihara: “...Screw it.”
Upon that line, the two immediately made a break for it. They didn’t get very far though. That zombie-like figure from before was heading towards them in the opposite direction.
Kokichi: “Take a left!”
The two ran off and into the hall to their left like Kokichi ordered. Eventually, they came out of their sight.
Kokichi: “Wait a sec!”
Kokichi grabbed Saihara’s hand and directed him inside of a closet nearby.
Saihara: “Ouma-kun, what if they-”
Kokichi: “Sssshhh, just stay quiet and I’ll try to divert them. If I don’t come back, I’m dead.”
Kokichi shut the door and ran off.
Saihara blocked his own mouth with his hands to stay quiet and waited. It took a few minutes for the door to open up again. However, it wasn’t the quest Saihara wanted.
The zombie picked him by his neck and took him off his feet. He began to drag Saihara away and towards Mugi.
Saihara: “What… Have you done with-”
Mugi: “Don’t worry.”
When Mugi finally came in sight, he saw Kokichi was being restrained by Mugi.
Mugi: “He’s fine.”
When aligned, her and the zombie dropped their hostages next to each other on the backs.
Mugi: “And stay down if you know what’s good for you.”
Two child ghosts pinned down Kokichi’s arms. As for Saihara,
Saihara: “I can’t move!”
Mugi: “Well, you see, that’s because of the darkening inside of your body.”
Saihara: “The darkening?”
Of course, when he and Kaede were attacked. That black fog entered their bodies.
Mugi: “You see, darkening can bend your blood the way the ghosts want to depending on how much is in your body.”
Kokichi: “So Iruma-chan was-”
Mugi: “That’s right. She was injected with a lot of it. Saihara-kun has some of it from a previous encounter, so he can be frozen in place from a decent distance by these ghosts.”
Mugi then turned her focus to Kokichi.
Mugi: “Unfortunately for you, we’re going to have them pin you down by hand since you don’t seem to have much.”
Then she turned back to Saihara.
Mugi: “But we don’t need Ouma-kun for this. We just need Saihara-kun.”
Saihara: “No… Stop…”
Mugi: “Oh, you’re lucky we didn’t kill Ouma-kun. Especially after trying to lead you away. Oh, by the way-”
Mugi stepped her foot hard onto Kokichi’s wrist.
With his hand forced open from shock, Mugi snatched the key from inside and released her foot.
Mugi: “Now with that out of the way, Saihara Shuichi…”
Mugi crouched down and looked into Saihara’s eyes. He was clearly showing resistance. Mugi reached her hand out to pet Saihara’s head only for her leg to be weakly grabbed diverting her attention back.
Kokichi: “Don’t touch him.”
Mugi: “...Oh, I see.”
Mugi gets up to her feet and starts to grin into Kokichi’s eyes. Was she going to kill him? Beat him? Have the ghosts try something? He couldn’t tell.
Mugi: “I guess we’ll have to keep you quiet.”
Kokichi: “Ohef…! Ahhh…!”
Black smoke started emanating from the ghosts’ hands and into Kokichi’s mouth to the point where he couldn’t breath or talk.
Kokichi: “Oug… Ah…!”
Mugi: “Maybe he needs some darkening of his own.”
Saihara: “No way... You’re forcing it onto him!”
Mugi: “That’s the idea.”
Saihara: “Just let him go!”
Mugi ended up staring at Kokichi’s eyes until he couldn’t even listen to Saihara’s call outs towards her. This gave Kokichi an idea. Struggling, he grabbed onto Saihara’s arm.
Saihara noticed the smoke from his body starting to transfer.
Mugi: “How much longer are you going to stay awake? Let’s have fun with this, shall we?”
Mugi noticed Kokichi was becoming drowsy.
Mugi: “Let him go.”
The ghosts stopped emanating darkening into Kokichi’s body and let go of him.
Kokichi: “Ahaa… Ahaa…”
Kokichi’s eyes shut entirely and his head cocked to the side of weakness. Mugi could tell he wasn’t dead but he’d be unconscious for at least an hour.
Mugi: “Now the-”
Mugi turned only to see there was no one next to Kokichi. It seems her attention was a little too focused on Kokichi.
Mugi: “Where is he?”
Mugi looked at her zombie bodyguard only to somehow get a shrug.
Mugi: “...No matter. If one doesn’t first succeed, they say. I have a different way of retrieving him...”
Mugi picked up Kokichi’s unconscious body under her arms and began her next setup.
Finally reuniting, Kaito gave Saihara a huge hug out of relief.
Saihara let go of the hug and looked Kaito in the eyes.
Saihara: “She’s got Ouma-kun.”
Maki: “He’s dead.”
Saihara: “No, he can’t be.”
Amami: “What happened?”
Saihara: “Both of us got caught, a-and… I couldn’t move or breath because of the darkening, so Ouma-kun transferred mine into his body and-...”
Maki: “Hold on, you’re not making any sense.”
Saihara: “I can’t explain it!”
Kaito: “Shit, it’s all my fault. I’m the one who told him to take the key and I’m the one who told us to split up.”
Maki: “There’s no use being sad over it. If we could handle what she did to the others, then we can’t handle this.”
Saihara: “W-Wait! Ouma-kun’s still alive! We can save hi-”
Amami pulled out his phone and checked his messages from an unknown caller. A voice message and a video message. He started with the voice message and everyone listened in on.
“Isn’t the restyling of this place lovely? You can do amazing things with a more electronic system, which I’m sure Ouma-kun very much agrees. I was getting impatient with waking him up so it was a nice alarm for him, I’d say. Meet me in the operation room, or maybe I’ll see you along your path, and maybe I’ll consider keeping him alive. Saihara-kun better be there or I’m frying the boy’s brains.”
The voice message ended in what sounded like a door shutting.
Saihara: “Electronic? Alarm? Frying his brains?”
Kaito: “As much as I don’t want to see it, play the video.”
Amami played the video for a horrifying display to show up. Just as they expected, Kokichi was strapped on the operation table. The table was completely straight and upward with Kokichi’s wrists, stomach and neck locked in by the shackles. His legs and feet were completely free but the pain of the operation table constantly electrocuting his body over and over seemed to have kept them somewhat still. The video finally ended and they didn’t have to hear Kokichi screaming in agony anymore.
Maki: “It’s a trap.”
Amami: “Not exactly a trap, but it’s definitely baitssu.”
Maki: “What’s the difference? If she thinks that’s going to work, she’ll have to-”
Kaito: “We have to save him.”
Maki: “God damn it.”
Saihara: “He’s right. I can’t just let someone die for my sake.”
Maki: “It’s for the world’s sake, not yours. Keep in mind that we’re going to have to either kill you or Amami just to solve this mess. Why do you guys even care anyways? None of us care about Ouma so why should we care about some mess he got himself into.”
Saihara: “It could be Iruma-san and I’d still want to save her.”
Kaito: “He’s right. What good could we be if we let someone die when we could have saved them?”
Maki: “You’re just falling for Shirogane’s trap, and it’s not even a good trap at that.”
Kiibo: “Ouma-kun may be a troublesome one, but that’d be a horrible way to go. If anything, we’d be falling for her trap either way by having her claim more of our classmates.”
Maki glanced over at the others.
Maki: “...Whatever. Do what you want but I don’t intend to get myself killed over a brat.”
Maki walked away from the group proceeded by Kiibo chasing after her.
Kiibo: “Wait, Harukawa-san…! Don’t abandon everyone!”
Saihara: “And that leaves us three.”
Amami: “Actually, I’m going to sit this one out.”
Kaito: “What? Aren’t you supposed to be protecting Shuichi?”
Amami: “Maybe I think I can just trust you this one time to look after him for me.”
Kaito bit his tongue to avoid talking back. He stared at Amami, but then gave a slight smile.
Kaito: “Come on, Shuichi.”
The two left as Amami gave a soft wave.
Kirumi and Korekiyo are pretty much comic relief at this point.
In the underground section of the school, a red blood trail lead up to a girl desperately forcing herself to crawl ahead. She’d found no one, been bleeding out for a while with no one to attend her wound and she hadn’t had anything to drink or eat. It was inevitable her time was coming to a close.
Yumeno: “Sai… hara…”
Mugi and that zombie freak weren’t in sight and had left the room, presumably to check up on the students. It seems the electrocution shocks finally stopped for a while.
Kokichi: “...Tch! What a pain.”
The damage may have affected his ability to think straight but he was fine enough to retrieve the hairpin he put in his hair and grab it with his mouth. He used the hairpin in his mouth to unlock the shackles on his neck, then proceeded to move his neck and head to unlock the shackles on his hands. He was able to use his hands to unlock the shackle around his stomach and finally get out.
Kokichi looked at his arms hands and neck to see scratch marks caused by the electrocution. He had no time to think about it though. He needed out of that place. However, the moment he opened the right door.
Mugi: “O-hoh~. You didn’t think you get away that easily, could you?”
After examining he’s been sprung, Kokichi ran towards the left door instead only to see an even bigger surprise. Zombie bodyguard is back and grabbed Kokichi in an instant, wrapping his arms around his arms and chest causing him to try kicking and stretching out it but to no luck.
Mugi: “To be honest, I thought considering you’d be the type to be used to getting kidnapped, you’d have expected that.”
Kokichi: “Don’t even try to talk to me about that.”
Mugi: “You know, you really should’ve just been a good boy and let your friends come to your rescue.”
Kokichi looked down at his feet.
Kokichi: “Except they’re definitely not coming.”
Mugi: “Ah, they’re not? Oh right. You’re the shit stirrer, the outcast, the bully. I guess nobody would come for you, after all…”
Kokichi gave up trying to escape the grip and just stared into Mugi’s eyes.
Mugi: “So… I guess we’ll just have to come for then.”
Mugi grabbed some rope and decently sized sack.
She used the rope to tie Kokichi’s wrists together and also tie above his elbows and around his full chest making him unable to move his arms.
And just like he suspected, they dropped him into the sack and tied up the top before he could react, leaving him to kick around inside.
Kokichi: “Let me out of here! Let me out!”
Mugi held the sack over her shoulder and ignored the kickings against her back doing so.
Mugi: “Stay calm. You’re only going to make it more impossible to escape the more you struggle.”
Kokichi: “Ah! You’ve got nothing to gain with this!”
Mugi: “Oh trust me, I do. Just be patient.”
Mugi ventured out of the room and her attention ignored off of Kokichi’s whining completely as she moved closer into the hallway.
Mugi: “...The show was just begun.”
9 students remaining
This one took a while to write. Unfortunately, I had to make Mugi and Amami a lot more OOC and tone down Ouma’s antagonism, but it’s extremely hard to write Mugi out of a V3 scenario and Amami isn’t very hard to get a grasp on how he’d react or act in certain situations due to the NDRV3’s story itself. And wow, this is actually my second longest post since my Ouma analysis.
