    Summary

Human error, operant conditioning, survival instinct and evolution as horror. An examination of the SGC's failure to anticipate and prevent the losses of Atlantis and the Alterran survey ship Destiny. One year after the first, the second Earth Expedition to Wraith-occupied Atlantis is diverted to an Ancient ship and struggles to survive with no way home and enemies within, while John Sheppard, considered a traitor by everyone who once knew him, tries to hold onto what humanity he has left and save them all.

Not as awesome as I expected, but pretty awesome nonetheless. A good take on the whole Wraith-not-totally-evil-so-our-guys-join-them-and-get-buglike thing, which is so popular ... or not, because of the lack of pretty.

John is still hot though, even blue and making weird noises, so all is right with the world.

This story sucks you in to its claustrophobic world so brilliantly, that by the end you are rooting for our heroes to triumph, even though they are (from Earth's point of view) no longer 'the good guys'.
