If you are a human being and you have a soul, please read this fic. Even if you don't know the fandom. I promise you will love it and it will hurt you and it will punch you in the face and eat your heart out and make you laugh like a complete moron. It's hands-down one of the most well written things in the fandom, with the best Light characterization around. The conception of love and relationships and the jagged edges where the two meet is one of the best I've ever read, in fanfic or published fiction. The prose is striking and beautiful and the dialogue rocks between poignant and shit-yourself-funny. There is no better ongoing fic in the death note fandom right now and I'm pretty sure this one has ruined everything else for me. Take a few days off to sit and stare blindly at your computer screen to read this and cry. You won't regret it, I promise.
