"You're the worst idea I've ever had," Jonny says, which both makes no sense at this moment and is something he's said before, in better context, but whatever, what it means is that he doesn't care.
Maybe Patrick should care, but he's used to letting Jonny be the guiding force in this thing between them, calling the starts and stops, and hey -- if it all goes to shit later, at least he'll have someone to blame.
