Bookmarker's Notes
Elspethdixon & Seanchai are hands down two of the best writers in the Marvel fandom, much less the Cap/Iron Man fandom. They know and love their canon and it shows with every word. It's easy to see why this is such a classic and why they are so well respected. It's well-written, the characters feel like an extension of who they were during the Civil War arc and it has wonderful pacing. The tension and want between Steve and Tony sizzles. And it really is the feel good of all feel good fix-it stories ever written with lots of fan service. And the ironic thing is, as much as I love this...I don't consider this their best work :) (that would be When the Lights Go On Again)

Summary
K/S from the POV of a man obsessed with Kirk. And to all the people who have asked me this question over the years: this is not an AU. Originally published in the print fanzine KSX # 1, c. 1987. My warmest thanks to the editor for all of her suggestions and advice.

Creepy, powerful, and all together amazingly well-written third person POV on K/S.

That may be, Doctor. However, I have noted that the healthy release of emotion is frequently very unhealthy for those closest to you.

Highly rec'd...An excellent, introspective and perhaps a bit haunting character study and a first time story from Kirk's POV. And Kirk's voice is completely dead on. Probably has one of the best TOS!Kirk voice's I've ever read.

Summary
He’d heard the name Spock mentioned once or twice (or enough times that Jim had started to wonder why they didn‘t just replace the Zefram Cochrane statue out in front of the Academy grounds with a Spock one). Of course he had. Who hadn’t?

I don't think anybody else has ever captured Kirk's compassion the way Jaylee is able to. And this fic? Has it in spades (and done with gentle humor), plus it's an Academy AU during the winter holidays which is always a win in my book.

Summary
Kirk and Spock play chess. On and off the board.
Or, the one in which Spock stealth-marries Kirk. Because Spock's sneaky that way.
