In one world, Kate Beckett dove into a bathtub that protected her from an explosion. In another, she was a moment too slow. Normally, these different things would only be good for speculating about. But once you add mad genius into the picture, things are no longer normal.

Summary
Esca and Cottia and their Skybax mounts Nemesa and Aethra find a shipwrecked Roman soldier on the beach. The soldier, for his part, is somewhat distressed to wake up with a giant pterosaur sticking her curious beak into his face. The Eagle/The Eagle of the Ninth fusion with Dinotopia.
