An amazing story about Bathsheba and her early years in David's court. I love the depiction of Abigail - the Bible describes her as a clever, intelligent woman who knew which way the wind blew, and trimmed her sails accordingly.
She might not have been the mother of a king, but I like this image of her as the mentor of one.
