Summary
So it's perfect there for a while. They decimate entire villages and walk away unshackled, free, impious; they spit on God and there is no thunder; they're brother and sister and lovers and friends and everything else there is to be, nothing frightens them. They drip and douse, set fires, terrorize, love without restraint. If they believed in paradise, that's probably what they'd call it. As it is, they just say it's life, anchored by the hopeless belief that it can stay like that forever.
Nothing lasts forever, though, does it?

Best, absolute favorite. Kara and Lee are sociopaths. It fits who they are in the show, it's a really amazing, accurate and subtle description and study of sociopathy while making you feel for the characters. The writing is clean, simple, brief, everything the story needs. In brief: flawless premise, flawless execution.

He suspects she was just sick of Harry crying.
No words. Literally one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking fics in the fandom. Cried for a long time after I read that. Bitter, jaded, plump with juice and blood.
