Summary
It’s as if living in a world where the fey are supreme isn’t enough.
They trade through tithe, wordplay, kisses and gifts; suitably pretty trinkets that they deem to be enough and in return, they live in a world where humans are their toys and carers. Some are pests, sleeping and feeding on the weeds in his small garden in the balcony; others are more demanding, miracle workers and dream stealers. Everything has a price, and the most powerful are willing to twist it as much as they can. Others won’t care and live in dalliance, serving as lanterns at night because they can’t help but glow, however they feel and chant to the stars. Some will be more vengeful and leave handprints on the windows, difficult to wash away; they are the pettier creatures, fickle to their nature, a slender grin playing on the curve of their cheeks.
The residents of Tobiume Hotel are just trying to get by, and struggle to maintain the frayed edges of their humanity.
