Choosing the Templars was the best idea at the time. It isn't as much fun as Carver thought it would be.

Summary
The Warden Commander, Hero of Ferelden, ten feet tall with lightning bolts shooting out of his eyes -– only Surana wasn’t like that, not even slightly. When Anders had first heard that Surana of all people was the Hero of Ferelden, his first thought had been ‘but he’s so small’ and his second was wondering whether or not they would put Surana's ridiculous tattoo on the celebration portraits.
Anders wants Surana, Surana wants Nathaniel, and what Nathaniel wants is anyone's guess.

Carver asks Fenris to practice with him, and from there blossoms a beautiful friendship in which they hit each other with sticks, drink far too much wine, and talk about sex. Everything after that is a bonus. Cheese is eaten, baths are had, and between all the angst someone has sex with an elf.
This is a story about envy and frustration, and how much Carver needs to get laid.
