Summary
Regency romance with mutants. Written in response to this kink meme prompt:
Erik is engaged to Raven due to an arrangement made by their parents.
Charles has no wish other than to see his sister happy. He has no problem with Erik. In fact, he enjoys playing chess with Erik every time he visits. Actually, he enjoys it more than he should.
But Raven is in love with Azazel. And she wants to elope with him.
Charles agrees to detain Erik on the night that Raven and Azazel plan to elope. Since Erik has such a high tolerance for alcohol, Charles has to resort to tying him up in bed. Unfortunately, since Charles is a lightweight, he falls asleep on Erik.
The following night, while Charles is out gambling at his favorite club, Erik makes a wager that is too good to turn down. If Charles loses, however, he has to spend to night with Erik and do whatever Erik wants.
Charles loses the bet.

Written for this prompt at the eagle kink meme: Marcus has been so busy training to be The Best Soldier Eva, and not wanting to do *anything* to sully his name, that he's managed to avoid sleeping with women. And within the centurion ranks, he was always so uptight about being perfect (and had that 'bad omen' stigma attached to him) so he managed to avoid sleeping with men too. I want (not at all virginal) Esca discovering his former master is a virgin, and mounting a campaign to get Marcus some. But Marcus ONLY WANTS ESCA (but doesn't know how to go about expressing this). Deviates from the prompt in its total lack of plot.

A political drama/romance/character-study about biology and freedom and choice and OH ARTHUR and viscerally hot sex. It's set in one of those Alpha/Omega/Beta worlds, with knotting and mpreg and so forth: these are not usually my kinks but they made huge emotional sense to me in this one.

This is amnesia-fic, sort of, but that feels like too thin a description of what it is; it does very satisfyingly hit that narrative kink (amnesiac character looks at current relationships and arrives at conclusions which unsettle things as they were before), but it's also this rich, beautifully worked-out exploration of the intersections between memory and truth and self-knowledge and self-preservation. Plus, scorchingly hot.

This (i.e. To Conciliate a Tiger and its sequels) is my favourite "lie back and think of..." story: it's this muddle of duty and desire and endurance and vulnerabilities that mashes every button I have. Dick does a deal with Slade Wilson who doesn't remind him of anyone at all.

My favourite painfully good fic; this doesn't have the kind of shiny happy ending I usually go for, but the emotion in it is so clean and sharp and beautifully written that it's a comfort read for me anyway. Tim, Tim, Tim, Tim.
