Summary
You forget, sometimes, that Eridan has to work as well. It’s a bad habit, one that you really hate yourself for, but you assume that since he focuses on more fine arts, history and photography primarily, he doesn’t have to work at it. It’s just reading books and pointing a camera at shit, right? Not nearly as hard as memorizing drug names and knowing how to give injections or recognize dozens upon dozens upon dozens of symptoms and illnesses. So it’s always a bit jarring, so used to seeing him putter around the apartment and take care of things for you that you neither have the desire nor time to take care of yourself, to go into his room and see him with papers spread all over his stupidly soft comforter and a book propped against his knee, looking at the papers marked through with reds and purples and blues before consulting his text again.

Summary
The weather was seasonably warm, which unfortunately meant pollen, and lots of it. Ordinarily, that wouldn’t have been much of a problem; your allergies aren’t nearly as bad as they were when you were growing up, but combined with sudden cold snaps punctuated with freezing rain, you found yourself skipping class that particular Wednesday because your head hurt so bad you could barely see and it felt like there was glass in your throat. It felt like you didn’t sleep at all, tossing and turning and fighting the sheets like you were, but when you shuffle out to the kitchen to get a glass of juice and cold bottle of water, Sollux is already home from work, the cuffs of his boring-ass shirt unbuttoned and rolled up to his elbows as he mucks around with something on the stove. You honestly couldn’t give less of a fuck about what it was if you tried.

After that, he stops being CAPTOR S and actually becomes Sollux, even though you’re hesitant to venture to the back row again after the spectacle you made of yourself last time (okay, maybe it wasn’t that bad, but King George III was kind of a huge fuckin’ dick and it was funny, even though you shouldn’t be laughing at such things as a grad student). And you probably would have written it off as one embarrassing moment where you failed to be the suave upperclassmen that you were, but it seems that you caught his attention with your pig impression that day.
