Summary

The Ministry is very sorry that its latest mistake—an artifact that was supposed to let Aurors detect lies—blew up on Harry, and now he can detect lies every time someone tells one. (Inquiries are continuing). The Ministry is also sorry that they can’t tell Harry how long the effect would last. (Unspeakables are working around the clock). And the Ministry would probably be two times sorrier if they knew that Draco Malfoy has hired Harry to find his father, who’s escaped from Azkaban. (The Chosen One should be able to have a full and normal life).

PSA (January 2013): Real Life issues has made writing untenable for this author for a while now. The intent is there to finish this story some day, but not, unfortunately, in the very near future. It only exists as a WIP right now, but, honestly, bugging me about it only makes me want to take it down. :(

Nearly all isn't nearly enough, and what's missing just might be the most important thing he's ever forgotten. When he wakes up, Tony has no idea who he is, or what he did to end up where he is. Depending on who he talks to, he was a villain or a hero, a genius or a degenerate. What he is now is still up for debate, but it doesn't look like he's going to have much time to figure it out. With a computer in his head screwing up and a country falling to pieces, options are getting limited.

An AU of the events covering SIEGE and immediate after. When Tony is rebooted after deleting his brain, he's left with no memory of anything, and lingering programs that keep him from finding out everything he missed. Sometimes you just need to start over, but there's always a place in every plan for a backup.
