Raylan had made friends before, but they were always coming back to him the next day and saying how their parents had told them that a Givens would lead them to no good fortune, and so by now he was cautious of the whole venture. He stuck his hands in his pockets and tried very hard to look like what the boy was doing was no concern of his at all, but then he spoiled it by saying, “Hey.” He then desperately tried to look disinterested.
(Wherein Raylan and Boyd meet as kids and Raylan gains additional reasons to hate his father.)
Post-"Bulletville," Raylan goes to take care of the bodies--and the graves--in the woods.
Reno stumbles upon knock-off artwork and decorates John’s room with it. John doesn’t ask where he gets it from—knowing Reno, it ain’t exactly illegal, but it’s nothing he would want to have to explain.
“This one,” Reno says, “I got for Frankie, too.”
Alexander Hamilton was that rarity of rarities—a legitimate innocent bystander—but also a journalist who had not so much “witnessed” illegal activity as “screamed in its face.”
“Wait,” Burr said. “He live-tweeted the cops putting Seabury in cuffs?”
(Or, the one where Alexander Hamilton is a witness in need of protection and Burr has just lost a very crucial coin toss.)

The young men in Washington’s command appeared to hold at once the contradictory beliefs that, in the first place, he was omniscient and that, in the second place, he was too daft to notice what was happening right underneath his own nose; no one epitomized this habit so much as Hamilton, who was at that very moment laboring under the misapprehension that Washington was somehow unaware of the scrape he’d gotten into.
