Summary
Stiles is on his back on hard-packed dirt. He's cold and there are leaves stuck to his neck and there's a four inch gash in his side that he thinks he can feel his ribs through. There's so much blood around him he feels like he's floating on a pond and everything is so much dimmer above him than it was a minute ago, which is saying something because he's in the dark center of the forest in the middle of the night. And the worst of it is that he's alone, totally alone with the smell of his own blood drowning him and the soft side of him run through by a tree.
As his eyes slip shut, the last thing he thinks is, "This is going to kill my dad."

Sleep's important for emotional well-being, psychological well-being as well as physical. This story hurts in the beginning. Insomnia is not fun or helpful in the long run. However, it comes full circle and Derek and Stiles grow because of it all.

Spencer has a perfectly good, sensible job. Brendon, his roommate, not so much. Brendon has no health insurance, which isn't that big of a deal until the day it is. Marrying him seemed like a good idea at the time.
A NO-BAND AU IN WHICH: Spencer and Brendon get married for the insurance, every single bandom person has a cameo, the city of Chicago is basically a character, Ryan and Spencer are students, Spencer works at the best Sbux ever, Nate Ruess is the shift of my heart, they go to Kuma's for the "reception", and Ryan eats a lot of bacon.

Canon-based AU. On the surface, the summer of 2009 for Panic at the Disco! seems to be about getting their collective feet back underneath them as a band and showing the world a united front once more. But Spencer's relationship with Haley self-destructs even as everyone else he knows is happily settling down, and when tour ends he's already sold his condo and suddenly has nowhere to go. He moves in temporarily with Brendon and Sarah and things start to fall apart, even as it becomes obvious as to how they might be able to put themselves back together again.

Loveliest of stories especially because it does not pull any punches and stays very real to how life is. If you're looking for happy endings the way they come in real life, then this story is the one to read.
