Summary
There's a doomed timeline where everyone just said "fuck this" after everything went to shit and quite literally hacked their way out of the game, pausing only long enough to bust their dead friends out of the dream bubbles. It's amazing how much of a challenge Alternia still is, after everything these kids have done, but if Sgrub couldn't keep them down, a little thing like the Alternian Empire certainly isn't.

Summary
Hidden societies of mechs spent ganon fighting for their right to exist and be people instead of things to be used and discarded.
Civilization splits in factions, the largest being the Autobots and the Decepticons as they wage civil war across the face of the planet until one side takes drastic measures to safeguard their race's future since there was no end in sight to the conflict.
Though "Home" becomes a battlefield and the battlefield becomes home, the Autobots abandon Cybertron when it becomes obvious that there is nothing that they can do and take the fight to the only place left: the stars.
The Decepticons are not the only enemy in the void of space, and one ship runs into one of the worst, forcing them to adapt and cope with horrors they had never dreamed of in their electronic dreams.
The call goes out to mechs across the cosmos, summoning all Autobots to a new home, one filled with life, no matter how alien it might be, this too they must adapt to.

"The next time the boy that comes with the wind settles upon Asgardia’s wall, Loki slips away from bird and dog and brother. He finds his way outside, climbs five flights of stairs until he stands, panting, at the top -- peers through an archway to spy upon the figure that skates over stone slicked with ice. He moves like the wind itself, the picture of unrestrained joy. He wears no shoes, and yet he does not seem to feel the cold upon slim, pale feet.
"Loki recalls stories of frost giants, hideous monsters that bring the ice, as he takes in this creature of simple pleasure. He recalls that the people of Asgardia say he is just such a horror of winter – but here and now, watching this boy play upon the walls as though nothing else exists in the world, he does not see how it can possibly be a bad thing."
