Summary
After the events of Caged Heat Dean, Sam and Cas climb into Hell to get Sam’s soul. While they pass from one infernal circle to the next, Dean struggles with his mistrust of soulless Sam and the shadow of his own past in the Pit. In addition, there’s the matter of Cas who’s come to mean more to Dean than he wants to admit. Fighting against Hell spawn and fallen angels, passing through burned cities and salt deserts, Dean believes in the success of their mission until their luck runs out and Hell threatens to swallow Cas whole.

Summary
Two years after Sam Winchester goes to Hell, with the world once again hanging in balance and Castiel hating himself for the decisions he’s been forced into making, Dean Winchester agrees to loan out his soul to power up one of Heaven’s weapons. It’s an alright plan except for the fact that, with Dean’s soul out of the picture – and with Castiel exhausted from the war, and overwhelmed by the pressure of never once letting himself be anything but the perfect little solider – Dean and Castiel seem to be heading towards something that Castiel’s not sure either of them can come back from.

Picture your typical rom-com cliché. Now picture Dean stuck in that rom-com cliché. With Castiel. Because that's what happening to him - a crazy whirlwind of your typical-and-not-so-typical cliché's. He's playing the main lead in all of them and Castiel's his counterpart. Of course, the culprit is obvious. Gabe's enjoying himself too much, lying back on his favourite cloud with a tub of salted popcorn.
It was about time someone kicked the two knuckleheads into gear.
