Summary
It's one thing to deny oneself; it's another to be denied. In which Albus learns (again) that sins of omission have consequences, even unto the next generation; and that what he denied to Severus shall be visited upon Harry. (Sequel to "In Infinite Remorse of Soul." Probably won't make sense if you haven't read that one.)

Bookmarker's Notes
Brilliant, disturbing, intense, incredibly hot, fucked up, acerbic, intelligent. A dark, powerful, morally elusive Snape with a fierce will of his own. Dysfunctional, unsentimental dynamics. If you crave obsessive Snarry, you've come to the right place. Words cannot express my love for this fic.

Summary
Rodney's Antarctica is a lot like Siberia in that it's full of scientists who work 16-hour days and bathe once a week (twice when they're feeling social), and who would slit your throat for a fresh banana. Also, you can't go for a walk without a survival kit, but that's fine - Rodney's never really been an outdoorsy person.

Bookmarker's Notes
Hilarious, intelligent, unsentimental but slyly heart-achy, sharply written, utterly wonderful character study of Sheppard and McKay and their exile days in Antarctica.

Summary
"His love for that princess would become for him the expression of an eternal love, would assume a religious character, would be transfigured into a love of the eternal being, which true enough denied the fulfillment but nevertheless did reconcile him once more in the eternal consciousness of its validity in an eternal form that no actuality can take away from him."

Beautiful style and structure. The author knows enough of Kierkegaard's work and life and self-mythologizing to create a kind of metaphysical portrait of his failed romance.

Bookmarker's Notes
Excellent, bittersweet characterization. A lovely little fic that twists the knife but makes your heart glow at the end, despite the haunting quality. A quiet, realistic look at the scars of friendship, the sense of loss a person's absence can create, the intimacy of war and the disorientation of picking up a normal life as a survivor. And yes, I absolutely believe that Hawkeye would end up like this.
