Bio
I'm Ellen -- or just Ellie, preferably. Eighteen years old, more or less, and far too cynical for my own good. I play a couple of instruments and I write and I want to be Amanda Palmer when I grow up. I've been learning French for almost a decade, and as a result of this I have an annoying habit of lapsing into the language de temps en temps. I also know ein bisschen Deutsch, but not a lot as I've only been learning for a year or so. I was born in Liverpool, although I've lived on the other side of the Mersey for my whole life. I lack a Scouse accent, though, so don't get too excited. And as for where I'm going? New York. Paris, maybe. Anywhere but here. I live with my parents and my younger brother, and have a very large and very strange extended family. I also have an odd, wonderfully eclectic bunch of friends. My biggest hero, and I mean this, is my boyfriend, Conor. He's the best person that I know, and has saved me time and time again. He's my everything, and I admire him and love him more and more every day. He makes my dopamine levels go all silly.
I'm a second year A-level student in English Language and Literature, History and French, which is a lot of work but can also be a lot of fun. Ideally, next September I'll be going to the University of Liverpool to obtain a BA in English and History.
I love writing, and reading, although concentrating on both has been hard recently. I used to play the violin, and now can sort of play the piano, the ukulele and am actually quite decent at playing the guitar. I love anything geeky, especially if it involves a mad man in a blue box.
My favourite things include (but are not limited to): Conor, tea, books, "Doctor Who", writing, musicals, lie-ins, Christina Hendricks, the 1920s, Alan Cumming and being sarcastic.
