Tony and Steve figure out this "friends" thing while on a road trip. Tony is initially displeased cuz he's a grown man, Pepper, he doesn't need a glorified babysitter to look after him and Dummy.
Everything is perfect and nothing hurts. Pepper continues to be the best but the boys are wonderful in their own right.

BEST. UPDATED IRENE. EVER. As much as I like the BBC version, I think they shafted her as a character. She's supposed to be the woman who got away and got one over on Sherlock, which this story delivers in spaaaades.

This fic successfully made me ship two characters that literally only exist in 5 panels of canon, one of them not even appearing in person. If that isn't worthy of being bookmarked, I'm not sure what is.
