It was supposed to be some big Freedom thing, the three of them in Spartacus’ truck and outshining Rome, Georgia with their headlights. They were going west because that’s what the heroes always did, turning towards the sunset, driving at night and sleeping stacked next to one another in the truck bed during the day. They’d put a mattress and pillows back there and covered the whole thing with a tarp in case it rained.
