Summary
The Great Khan rises and paces to his window, looking out across the gardens of his palace as though he can see - or perhaps hear - the cities Marco Polo describes if only he gazes long enough into the distance.
"No city such as the ones you have described to me can possibly exist," he says.

Summary
Patrick goes to bed that night in Tazer’s guest room. It’s not the first time he’s slept there, but it’s the first time he’s tried to sleep in Tazer’s body. His legs want to kick out weirdly into the corners of the bed, and his head can’t find a comfortable position on the pillow. He drops off eventually anyway, worn from the current of rage he’s been carrying around all day and the constant slow rhythm of Tazer’s heartbeat, drumming in his chest like a cage.

I love bodyswap stories where the actual physical and chemical uniqueness of the other person is an issue. There are some great scenes in this of Kaner being stoic and Jonny getting emotional that totally made it for me.

Summary
GOOD WORK, YOUNG HAWK, the oak tree outside his building booms once the season’s over, and Patrick smiles sleepily in its direction.
He's never been sure how the trees of Chicago know about hockey—trees hear a lot, but it's not like he's ever stopped in a public park to ask one about it.

Delightful. I love superpowers that...kind of aren't, and Patrick's is that he can talk to plants. That makes this a weirdly domestic AU, with a slightly bizarre tangent into the language of flowers, but it's great, and the ending is fantastic.

Summary
They're in their hotel room after the Oilers game when Kaner asks, "Why does this whole meditation thing matter so much to you, anyway?"
"It helps me focus and relax," Johnny says, hoping that'll satisfy him.
But Kaner's eyes widen. "You mean you'd act even weirder if you didn't meditate? Shit, dude – now I kind of want to see what you'd be like without it."
"You really, really don't," Johnny says.

Bookmarker's Notes
This was charming and not at all what one expects from a superpowers AU. The relationship piece has a lot of lead up and a quackish resolution, but the story overall was totally engaging and the Toews character was a super-interesting and sympathetic reading of robotic-Toews fanon.

Sherlock Holmes, schoolboy. Yeah, that basically sums it up.

Bookmarker's Notes
Fantastic boarding-school AU, with a beleaguered Mycroft, a great Lestrade, and a schoolboy relationship that is just as fraught and as wonderful as things can be at that age. Some cases, some very abrasive Sherlock, and a lot of troubled adolescence on display. Wonderful.

Summary
Jonny doesn’t plan on becoming nap buddies with Patrick, not like in that episode of Friends with Ross and Joey that Jonny has seen far too many times.

This is nice. Sweet and slow with a sizzling hot finish, yay.
