Summary
By the time the Super Bowl is in its last quarter, Lizzie’s worked up quite a buzz – enough that she doesn’t think anything of being squished closer to Darcy when Brandon edges in on the couch.
Will. She should try calling him that sometime, and not Darcy.
A soft beep from Darcy’s phone distracts her and she turns to watch him swipe the screen closed and smile down at her again. He’s been doing that a lot lately, and even with all her layers of denial Lizzie can’t help but notice he hasn’t been watching the game very much.

Summary
“This,” she tells Tom, punctuating every word sharply, “is a terrible idea.”
He crosses his arms and looks at her in the mirror. “No, I think you look real nice. Hal’ll like it.”
She tugs at the skirt of her dress – daisy yellow, white polka dots and as different from her green dress as she could get – and shakes her head. “Not the dress. This whole date re-do.” When Tom doesn’t respond except to arch one of his enormous eyebrows at her, she sighs and turns with purpose. “I’m changing.”

Summary
Eight years and four months after she left, the invitation to her high school ten year reunion comes in the mail. She pretends she’s her personal assistant and tells the bubbly girl on the other end to put her down as a No. The invitation, complete with its ten year memorial sticker for Lilly Kane, goes in the trash. Live, Laugh and Love is a theme only Madison Sinclair would pick out and even now, the name raises the bile in her throat.
(The bubbly girl, on the other hand, reminds her of someone else altogether.
It was a long time ago.)
Her father’s heart attack though – that brings her home in an instant.

Summary
The first thing she does is take a scalding hot shower.
While Tom and Hal get rid of Rook’s body, she makes a beeline for the shower on the top floor, the one with its own water heater. It takes her all of five seconds to knock off those torturous boots, her jacket and dress following close after. She chucks her ripped tights at the bin – misses – and turns the shower knob all the way to the left.
(It burns, perfectly.)

Summary
“In that case, I definitely have to go shopping,” she points out and sneaks a glance at Hal.
Somehow he finds himself thinking about the bra of doom again and leaves the kitchen very quickly.
“You all need to sort that out,” Tom points out as he goes to bed that night. “It’s getting very uncomfortable around here.”

He tries. Oh, how he tries.

Summary
William Darcy is a grown man (sort of). He has responsibilities; a sister to look after, a company to manage, and right now, a party to host.
But right now, in spite of all that, he and Lizzie have cornered themselves at the back the library. He can hear guests nearby, the door not quite shut, and tries to concentrate on something other than Lizzie’s mouth at his ear.
(It’s New Year’s Eve, and she said yes forty-three minutes ago.)

Summary
Audrey stops scanning the tree line long enough to check on Duke’s progress in cutting down a tree only to dissolve into laughter. His head rustles in the leaves near the base, protesting.
“Have you ever done this before?” Audrey asks, muffling her giggles with her gloves. They’re bright red and have tiny snowflakes on them and Duke had given them to her this morning.
The man in question looks up, torn between exasperation and stubbornness. “It’s a tree, Audrey. It has a trunk. I have a saw. How complicated could this be?”

Summary
When Katniss is fifteen, winter comes to District 12 in a cold blast of snow that covers the Seam in ashy snowflakes. They seep through Katniss’ wool gloves, made with the last of her father’s earnings, and make her teeth chatter in the drafty classroom. She’s never seen anything like it before and never wants to see anything like it again.
(Prim’s thin cough keeps her up that, weak and strangled in the night.)

Summary
“That’s a lovely necklace,” Catherine says to Lizzie, looking torn between appreciation and the fact that Lizzie was wearing it. Calmly, Lizzie takes a sip from her drink and meets Fitz’s eyes across the room, his grin threatening her composure. “Thank you,” she says, hand flitting up to catch at the blue pearl drops. “Will gave it to me for Christmas.”
As Catherine has a coughing fit, Lizzie thinks she might not be the only one ready for new traditions.

Summary
“Too much for you?” she asks, finding him just outside the living room, staring at the family portrait hanging there. She remembers taking this photo – she was eight, had frizzy hair, and Lydia wouldn’t stop crying. The woman at JC Penny had an exasperated look on her face the whole time and Lizzie went home and scrawled I hate Lydia a dozen times in her journal.
She doesn’t like to look at it now.

Summary
Miles wants to kill him.
“No,” Charlie says, her voice steady. She won’t look at him, cuffed and bruised at her side. “I thought we were past that, Miles.”
Sometimes, he thinks, she is still incredibly naïve.

Summary
Katniss is back a week when Gale disappears.
Just drops off the face of the earth – no note, no goodbye. She’d seen him once, across the way at The Hob, and though he’d raised a hand in acknowledgement of hers, he hadn’t stuck around.
(Turns out that was the big plan.)

Summary
It was just like him to disappear during a party, Lizzie thought. When Bing mentioned that Darcy had gone missing she’d volunteered to locate her errant boyfriend, the shortlist of places he could be hiding running through her head.
Cracking open the door to the remotest guest room, she was hardly surprised to find him working by a single desk lamp.
“Working again?” Lizzie asked when he looked up. “It’s hard to be Bonnie without a Clyde, you know.”

She slips away from him in pieces, in Paris. There is no place for here, in the bustle of crowds and the way he wantonly throws himself into life.
(He’s young. He’ll get over it.)

Summary
It starts out innocently enough. Hands brushing against each other in the halls of Collins & Collins, a helping hand out of the car or down the steps, chairs set closer together at dinner than absolutely necessary.
All things considered, Lizzie thinks it might be her imagination. Darcy couldn’t possibly – it’s not a remote likelihood – it’s probably just his faulty programming again.

Summary
A Halloween Haven tale.
”We’re not done, Duke,” the voice whispers in his ear, her hand cool on his shoulder. He shudders as Audrey shuts his eyes.
The second time he wakes, it’s with a purpose.

Summary
After the troll, after he somehow becomes friends with Hermione Granger of the Three Hundred Spells (or at least, this is how he thinks of her), her hair keeps stealing his attention. When she’s taking notes in class – at an inhuman speed, he notes – it bounces around her crazily. She doesn’t tie it back, ever, and he thinks that’s strange because Ginny always ties her hair back when she’s doing homework. It’s not curly, just insane-out-of-control-I-belong-to-Hermione-Granger-of-the-Three-Hundred-Spells frizzy. Manic, really.

Summary
Speculation regarding a reveal in 3x02, nothing more.
-
They cross the equator three days before Orion rises in Haven, are already passing the southern tip of Brazil when Tommy calls them.
The Hunter is visible in Haven’s bright, cloudless sky, and Audrey is still standing on the deck of the Cape Rouge, clutching the railing for all she’s worth. Duke leans back against the railing next to her, staring up at the unfamiliar constellations. He doesn’t have long to wait.
