Cesare doesn’t think to stop it as he kisses her back. Brings his head down to meet her lips more thoroughly, presses his fingers into her skin. It may send him to hell indeed, but for her he would gladly go to damnation.
Not her though. He would never let her go to such a place.

"Indeed, my lord, he lent it me awhile; and I gave him use for it, a double heart for his single one: marry, once before he won it of me with false dice, therefore your grace may well say I have lost it."
Beatrice and Benedick, pre-Much Ado.

Summary
There is no going back for Freddie Lyon, failed journalist, ex-communist, the son of a dead father and the best friend of a girl who’s always going to be too good for him. There might, however, be a grand return for Frederick Lyon, but he does not exist yet, and Freddie stands on the Golden Gate Bridge, looks down at where his fingers grip the metal, knows that if Frederick Lyon is to exist that these hands are the only ones capable of building him.
Freddie in San Francisco, and Freddie in Paris.

Because let's be real here: she is totally flirting with him, too. There's no question about it. She's flirting back hard, her hand wrapped around the stem of her wineglass and her laugh getting throatier and lower into Jessica Day sexy land.

The first time was a run-down hotel in St. Petersburg, Natasha's eyes empty and her mouth twisted in a practiced smile. He'd pinned her wrists to the bed and she'd wrapped her legs around him like gravity had gone AWOL and he was the only steady thing she had.

They start that young? Banner's voice was tight and if she hadn't know better now, in retrospect, she might have thought the good doctor was about to cry.

Post-movie: Marta and Aaron get lost for a while.
She’s witnessed Aaron shoot people, beat people and snap their necks like they were nothing more than a wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner. Yet as he wakes her from another nightmare, he is only gentle and patient, caressing her hair as he murmurs that everything is all right.

If there is a jolt of something that settles near the base of her spine when his fingers rest on the small of her back to guide her under the umbrella, well – Lizzie chooses to ignore it completely.
Somewhere, she knows Gigi is grinning proudly at this turn of events.

Summary
Lizzie packs up her costume theater into the same bag she used to drag it from Netherfield to San Francisco and all the way back home again. One end of her red Darcy bowtie hangs out the side and she can just see the edge of the newsboy hat beneath her blue plaid shirt. Lizzie runs her hands through her hair and sighs, because on the one hand it’s her thesis project and on the other hand, there are five sheets of high-class stationary tucked into the copy of Persuasion in her backpack. She tucks the bowtie to the bottom of her bag and keeps packing. Two months in LA with her sister. The Jane in her head says, “That’s not the same as leaving,” but Lizzie tucks that away too.
